Picard out? Wow Martin, I'm impressed. Now let's see if plays Wisniewski on his correct side.

Personally I'd like to see

Hamrlik Wisniewski
Spacek Subban
Gill Weber

at least everyone will be playing on their correct side.

One Gorges comes back I'd like to see

Hamrlik Wisniewski
Spacek Gorges
Gill Subban

So, we play The Wiz on his off-side? Comon, why do we always make play our players on their off-side?

I know it seems that way as with Spacek but Wiz is equally comfortable on either side. If anything I'd want Spacek to move to the left side but him and Hamr have some chemistry after playing together for 2 years that i personally don't think it's so bad anymore. They should be much better with less of the hard minutes on them now.

I agree with Marinaro. Why two lefties together and two righties together? Wouldn't this be a perfect opportunity to Spacek on his proper side. That said, I like that weber and subban are in. Just feel like Martin does everything to keep Hammer and Spacek happy and together--like they're our most important players or something.

I don't believe it's that at all. Against top lines those two have done a good job. Not every night but for the most part they have kept top players off of the scoresheet when they are on the ice together. They are both plus players and have points. I think that's why they are together.

Having said that I'd rather they be separated too. I'm just trying to see what Martin sees to the point where I'm starting to scare myself.

That's because they are. Whether you like them or not is another story.

About the playing on their natural side...You guys mean if you're a lefty you play on the left side right? Which makes obvious sense in terms of pinching and keeping pucks in at the blue line etc. But wouldn't it be better offensively to have a guy with a left handed shot play on the right side and vice versa? For one-timers and shots in general (not that Spacek really ever uses one or hits the net when he does). I'm assuming that's why Martin likes them on their off sides.

I do too, i'm always defending Martin or trying to makes sense of his moves so as to explain it to others. As long as The Wiz can bring down Hammer and Spacek's minutes, i think i don't really care who plays what side, as long as they're comfortable playing there. Just thought it was an ideal situation to try each D at their natural position, but whatever, maybe its no big deal.
