No need. Just use the outside half of the plate.

Trust me, I give the Giants credit. They CLEARLY wanted it more.

I am merely responding to Irish who said he enjoyed the series despite losing. Apparently he is not frustrated by a team leaving the bases loaded multiple times and not being able to score a runner from 3rd with 1 out because they would rather strike out then put a ball in play.

You can be frustrated and enjoy something, you realize... Sports are about frustration... it's HARD. You lose a lot. If you can't handle frustration, then baseball is not the sport for you.

The best in the biz have a 70% fail rate.

You'd think hockey fans, Flyers fans no less, would know a thing or two about frustration. Didn't we go through a stretch last year when goalies had like a .950 save % against us?

Twice. 2 separate ones of 14 and 11 games.

I can't take credit for it. Found it randomly.

He never knew that in the first place. If Charlie uses him strictly as a LOOGY he'll be alright. Righties expose the hell out of him though.

When used right I think he's very good.

Might as well keep the status quo if we can't upgrade.

If Romero can throw strikes he is very good, the problem is that he rarely does.

Old Man Moyer not ruling out 2012!

http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=5955314

Quote:
"In all honesty, I just don't feel like I'm ready to give it up. I feel I'm entitled to make my own decision," Moyer told the Seattle Times.
I think he could've worded this next statement a little better:
Quote:
"It will be nice spending family time," Moyer said, according to the Times. "Maybe I'll get to the point I like that more than I like to play. We'll see."
Elbow and age be damned, I just think he loves proving people wrong and striking out guys half his age too much.

Which will be interesting given that's what his fastball will top out at.

A slight part of my would like to see that, too, so that he can get into the hall (because the only way he gets in is as a physical oddity, not because of talent).

I would just prefer that it would be with another team, or as a very cheap 5th starter.
