hard to see this team even be 500 rest of the way at their current compete level. They are generating very few chances right now. And it seems that Price is getting scored on 3-4 goals per game like last year (cant really fault him).
Thats 2 goals now in 3 games against some of the worst D in the entire league (NYI, Caps and TB) and you cant really say that its due to bad bounces.
This could get ugly very quick and I would not be surprised if we are out of a playoff spot in the next 2 weeks. Good thing we gave up a 2nd for Wiz. We still cant generate anything.
This team is broken right now and its so frustrating that we seem to get into this long losing streak around X-mas. Maybe Price playing like a Vezina candidate masked a lot of our issues and we are just not that good.
emotional + motivational coach could change something.
no timeout after the penalty shot?
even at 2-1 in the 2nd, a timeout would have been needed.
how many times the lines changed? 42341242242244224246859
1-0 and we trap in 2nd period?
Martin' pro-active move: Put auld at 4-1 middle of 3rd.
2 back2back too many players on the ice.
Team trailing, Darche spending most the PP time
...
.
....
k its the player all along.
A timeout after a penalty shot well.... I don't it has happened often in the nhl, why ? because when there is a penalty shot you often had time to talk to the players and well you expect a goal from the other team
Coaches rarely call a timeout when they are 2-1, it happen only when the two goals are scored in a really short time like 1 minute.
The lines were pretty stable during the game
I'm pretty sure Martin didn't want that the player sit back after the lead NO coaches want that.
What others proactive move you want ?
the penalty for two many mens well were bad I agree, but it's not like it always happen in all our lost.
Darche is the only player willing to stand in front of the net and disturb the goalie with Gionta.
I don't see what the other choice is, but to fire Mr Potatohead. I mean, this this team has talent, and he can't get an ounce out of it. Also, they aren't prepared to play, lots of mistakes and lack of attention to detail.
Bench Gomez for 50 games.
Send Weber down, call up Carle when healthy (last i checked he's hurt).
Move Eller to the 2nd line.
Call up DD since people want him up so badly.
Don't play 2 righthanded offensive dmen together ever again, actually 2 offensive dmen in general.
If that fails. Blow up the team, cuz they don't deserve to win at all.
Price is tired and its pretty evident and he also gives up when the rest of the team does as well.

Get this ****ing loser out of here, a.s.a.p
Habs likely stuck with ALF. Its even sadder when you look at the other bench and see the guy who should have been the habs coach.
January's schedule gets a lot harder than this road trip schedule was.
Martin to me has to be the next move if a major move cannot be made to address some serious weakness on D in size and skill, and in the top 6 in size and skill and in the bottom 6 with some two way skill to assist Eller and Halpren.
Weber was unbelivably bad tonight, must have commited 12 turnovers. Couldn't handle a pass, fluterred on his passes, every shot he took was easily blocked by a Lightning player. It's hard to win with him [...]
no that's impossible! it's picard's fault! if we pull him, we'll win!
yeah...
OMG EVERYBODY PANIC!
nothing but a classic slump. takes it easy everybody...
is it really bad bounces right now? I just see a team that is not competitive right now
When a team loses 4-1, it's natural to see that because humans want the outcome to presuppose the process. That's where stats can help.
I'm not gonna say the Habs deserved to win tonight, but they deserved much better than 2-8 on their last 10, and some of those losses were more lopsided than they should have been.
They'll pull out of it and I'm looking forward at what the stories will be then.
Spacek, Hammer, and Weber are garbage. Unfortunately we are stuck with Spacek and Hammer, but we can send down Weber thank god once Gorges is back. I don't really have much of a problem with our forward group except that Darche gets way too much PT.
Our lack of offense stems from the horrible transition we get through our pathetic group of D.
I hope to see:
Gorges-Wiz
Hammer-Subban
Gill-Spacek
^it's ugly but thats as good as it gets for us right without another move I'm afraid...
The plus side is Wiz looked great, but we need a lot more guys like him, and alot less bums like Hammer and Spacek...
Pierre Gauthier "Hey Jay, I know you are assessing your situation in Calgary, but lets not kid ourselves you know the situation as you have been there all year". "We want Iginla and either Regehr or Sarich with possibly Glencross or Moss...tell me what you want and we can work it out"!
That 5 on 3 was the turning point of the game. What kind of ****ing incompetent coach manages to take two too many men penalties in 45 seconds? Ridiculous.
Doesn't help that this team is way too fragile and passive to get over getting the game tied / their lead blown.
