That 5 on 3 was the turning point of the game. What kind of ****ing incompetent coach manages to take two too many men penalties in 45 seconds? Ridiculous.
I was surprised the announcers hardly discussed this. Whose fault was it exactly? Did Lapierre jump on the ice cuz he thought he was going to be killing a penalty?
Not because of his performance.. And it wasn't JM's decision, his two assistants had to tell him to do it. It was to save face, so that Price wouldn't get bombarded further cos the team wasn't playing.

Doesn't help that this team is way too fragile and passive to get over getting the game tied / their lead blown.
WHile I agree that was the turning point, but line changes aren't the head coaches responsibility. That usually falls on the assistant coaches...

I don't think you want to know who the Tampa Bay announcers blamed it on but I'll tell you anyway.........Subban both times.
I was horribly disappointed when he was hired as coach to begin with!
Montreal hasn't had a decent head coach since the late Pat Burns, God rest his soul!
What a brutal list!
It's a long season and all teams hit slumps at some point. All this "fire the coach" talk is asinine and it ain't happening. Habs will get back on track. It will be nice when this horrendous road trip ends but there's lots of hockey left to play and the Habs did earn their cushion early in the year. They'll be fine.
Both Crosby and Stamkos will probably finish with more goals than what the Habs leading scorer will get in total points.. It's been such a long time since the Habs had a guy that was even capable of scoring 50 goals and 100 points in a season..
Even though that was a nice goal by Stamkos on the penalty shot wasn't he one of the Tampa guys whining after that Oilers game shootout goal?
If this play continued I would be looking forward to the draft and happier than I would be if this team made the playoffs. You can bet your life though that thats not going to happen. They are going to get better marginally and maybe make as high as a 6 seed but get eliminated early.
Next off season, they will shove it down the fans throat how they were close to competing again and get that UFA guy that wont make any difference at all.
I want a total rebuild. Its never going to get better unless there are big changes.
I don't think we were as good as we looked at the beginning of the season and I don't think we are as bad as we're looking now. People who want to fire Martin now are probably the same one's who were praising him a month ago. If I had to name the needs of this team my answer would still be the same as it was when we were playing well. We need two big scorers to put into the top six (Lecavalier/Clowe/Ladd/etc would be nice) and two or three fresh faces on defence. We may as well have kept Dandouillon for all Hamrlik and Spacek are getting us.
lol. fire martin isn't going to help in any way. this team seriously lacks elite talent, period. "Experts" said they would finish ~8th or 9th at the end of the season, that's exactly where they are atm. Don't blame martin, blame Timmins for his horrible 1st round scouting record

This I agree with. They keep drafting these shi**y american defencemen out of highschool and the USNTDP and they all end up sucking. I was excited this past year cause I thought they were going to take Quinton Howden, a fast, 6'3' center, who plays in an extremely respectable league. But no...

Doesn't help Timmins when Martin can't develop the guys who he drafted. He's even managed to **** up Subban.
Timmins horrible first rounder named Carey Price is the only reason we're still in the playoff race.
