Kings vs. Flyers - 12/30/10 - POSTGAME THOUGHTS & TIDBITS

Need to go back to the drawing board and re-tool the defense. At least the offense is clicking... Onto the next game.

Bad defense. Mental lapses. Taking bad penalties.

Wasn't Bernier's fault, but I really wish he hadn't sprawled like crazy when we were only down one and only had 10 seconds left on the 2 Man PK.

Kopitar, Brown, Smyth (due to scoring two goals), Johnson, and Simmonds had strong games.

Everyone else was either bad or was inconsistent.

The Sharks are going to want revenge for their last game and the Kings better be ready to play some defense. They need to win these home games coming up. February is not going to be kind to the Kings.

It's good that Schenn is playing very well in the WJCs. Zues is gone after this season.

The Kings met one of the true contenders tonight, who didn't break a sweat. We are not
close. And the Flyers are as close as close can be. Tonight was contender versus pretender.

We worry too much, The Kings are fine. They're just a little tired.

We actually outshot and outhit the Flyers.

We just had swiss cheese defense.

The Kings didn't make a big save all night. Flyers blocking Lewis from scoring a minute into the 3rd changed the whole scope of the game. They hustled all night long.

Gee Drew is so fat and SLOW! Bernier should no longer be with the Kings. And Stoll and Handzus have no business playing for us!

I hate Mike Richards. I hate those hideous Flyer jerseys. I hate anyone whoever was associated with the Flyers.

Okay, what do you say after the Kings beating the Wings? I'm dying to know.

This is ridiculous. Flyers didn't play great. Kings were their worse enemy.

^^^ THAT.
I even remember how in NHL 24/7 winter Classic where Boudreau even talked about how the Hawks lost 9 straight? Something like that? And they won the cup. 2 games.. Just chill. PHX always have our number and Kings were gased from that game. SJ should get ready for another beating, Kings should be coming out HUNGRY THOUGH. There is just one thing I wonder after every game...... I wonder how Doughty thought he played. I wonder that with a few players on the team, especially when I see how Doughty has gotten cocky lately. I think he has a right too but he is not backing it up as good as he can.

EDIT: What's with the pic exactly?

That's funny.

One team has played four games in five nights, and played the first two exceptionally well against tough division opponents. Maybe the ledge is a more suitable place for you, though...

Anyway... The reffing sucked, but the Kings certainly didn't make it any easier. The Flyers did/acted the way I expected them to, and the Kings looked/played as gassed as one would expect. I was hoping for an OT point before the game, so...

I already asked him that same question, as well as the 2 wins against the Canucks, in the game thread. Got no answer.
