NSH@MIN 12-31-10 The "If all the fans are drunk, did it really happen?" Edition

Does a wolf/bear/cougar poop in the woods?

Who:

What:

Where:

When:

Predators line up:

Wild line up:

I don't get off until 5:30 and have the game set to record. Any ideas for a Preds game drinking game? I plan on being trashed on Jello shots and margaritas by the end of it.

Drink everytime there's a shot on goal. Although with Nashville and Minny you still might be sober by the end of the night.

Drink when:
- we lose a faceoff
- you think we hit the net but it actually missed
- the commentator refers to a player by his nickname
- icing is called
- you start singing along with the song being played during stoppages
- weber or sutter has the puck

Finish your drink when:
- a player is injured
- someone scores a goal
- intermission begins
- overtime begins
- a major penalty/fight occurs
- "We will rock you" is played
- you're so drunk you cheer for the other team

I remember a few years ago there was a game where everyone had to take a shot whenever Crispy said "Bubba."

Then I played a game where I had to take a shot every time Klein screwed up but I couldn't afford that much liquor over a season.

This year I've given up and am just keeping my old fashion at least half filled at all times. I'm tired of losing and am breaking out the high dollar stuff for this. Tonight glory and Glenfarclas meet.

Go Preds.

I'm thinking a shot every time we pass the puck on the power play. We'll see how the night goes. The first time Canada played USA in the Olympics this year we took a drink every time they said a Ryan that wasn't Suter and a Suter that wasn't Ryan... and we neighed and took a drink every time they said Crosby. We were TRASHED.

I may have to try some of this since I have to work until 10:30, will have to DVR the game and watch it later, and am going to cut back on the boozing after tonight. Here's to an important win that I won't know the result of until about 5 hours after everyone else does.

Shiniest jerseys in the league, I think that fits the bill of enough sparkle/sheen for the dress code of the New Years party I'm attending?? Right? God I hope they have it hiding somewhere on a teeny tiny screen at Flames Central tonight.

That's a very solid list of drinking game rules, ClearTheCrease.

PredsChik20 - I'm lost on the "Suter that wasn't Ryan" reference. Help me out here. Unless of course you mean suitor as in all the men lining up to take me on dates, in which case I can see why you'd be hammed. (actually )

No, lol, he's the 3rd "Suter" to play for team USA. His dad, Bob, was on the Miracle 1980 team and his uncle, Gary, played in 2002. The NBC crew made sure we all knew about his family playing.

and Flames Central, is that the sports bar that is decked out for the Flames in downtown Calgary? I've been there, it's so cool.

Ohhhh of course. Haha, thanks. And yes that's the one, it's a really cool venue I agree - old school theatre turned into a sports bar. I have tickets for their New Years Eve bash, but since the Flames are playing tonight I might be hard pressed to find the Preds game on any of their hundreds of TVs.

This might be the first time I've seen cougar.

Actually, it was referenced by a quote by Trotz in one of Cooper's earlier blogs today regarding using Legwand 12-15 minutes. Tom Callahan checked and confirmed it just a little while ago...

I don't really think it looks like a cougar but figured I'd be all inclusive.

See! Already good mojo! I picked a picture with Legwand in hopes that he would play.

No it's all good. My mission in life (besides making boatloads of money and selling my soul) is to figure out what the **** Nordy/our logo is. Right now it's some sort of offspring of Mr. McGibblets from The League and either a bear or a raccoon.

And an "interesting" mascot.

All jokes aside, I like the logo. It's just very ambiguous given the scene painted in the head.

Alright, I've found a feed that will have the Minnesota broadcast on after the BB game, but if anyone can post a link to Pete and Terry, I'd appreciate it!

Thanks!
