Same d pairing than last night

Would be winning line-up to me.
Switch Darche for Lapierre and it's all right !

But i would hope they would not let Eller rot in the stands for too long.

Halpern can play on a wing too.

Sweet can't wait to see him in. These are desperation moves now, if things don't turn around after this I could see Jm getting the boot.

Don't expect that ! We are stucked with him for another year, at least. in the meantime, our best coaching staff is behind the Tampa Bay bench !

Well, that's ridiculous to think the team needs to add toughness firstly. What the team needs is better goal scorers and talented forwards. That's what's costing us games right now.

I think Desharnais can really help the habs on this aspect. After all, he has produced everywhere he has played and if we don't try him, he'll never have the chance to prove us what he can do for us in the NHL. And, then, some other team will give him a chance and there's a good chance he succeeds.

Give him the chance to play with talented forwards regularly. And I mean a real chance. Not 4 games and send him down to Hamilton after that. After that, we'll have a better idea on him.

DT from vestiaire is usually pretty bang on on Habs news ..

Last night he reported that Pierre Gauthier was "en beau ********" after the game, and he quoted him for saying " La marmite va brasser au retour a Montreal" translates to "the house will shake when we return to Montreal" I think anyways.

Not necessarily talking about trades he said, but call-ups, press-box..stuff like that..some players are in for a surprise was said as well..

Already this morning, Desharnais called up..he said this is just the beginning.

Theyre going to play him with Halpern and Darche then send him down because he's too small and can't score.

Cammalleri - Plekanec - Kostitsyn
Eller - Gomez - Gionta
Pacioretty - Desharnais - Pouliot
Moen - Halpern - Lapierre

or whatever lineup with three offensive lines.

if the Lapierre/Blake trade is for real it looks like DD will around until Blake shows up... then who knows.

Our forwards are going to be so small that opposing defensemen will need a microscope to find them on the ice.

I really hope Gomez will be demoted to the third line and they will play DD at his place centering the second line, this will be so sweat and the messege couldnt be clearer toward Gomez..

What's the message? You're playing better so we're going to put you on the third line?

Let's put Desharnais on the second line against harder opponents so he'll be less effective, that'd be a great idea too.

How do you know he'll be less effective? The guy has the best vision I've seen any guy have in a long time - and that's not a joke.

If after a few games its clear DD is doing better than Gomez then I hope they promote him to the second line.

What message»?? Gomez has been cheating alot in this trip, I dont care if he makes 7 millions or 1 millions, he has to be way better, especially in the off zone..

I had the privilege to watch Desharnais play his rookie season with Cincinnati in the ECHL. He made so many passes that made me gasp and shake my head that I couldn't begin to count them.

He had more passing ability than any AHL player to play for the Cincinnati Mighty Ducks during their nine years in Cincinnati.

He is an extremely hard-working player who gives maximum effort at both ends of the ice. He has the ability to position his body such that he is surprisingly effective along the boards despite his diminutive stature.

My impression is that Martin really has pre-judged Desharnais and will use him sparingly. I don't think that any real conclusion about DD's ability to play at the NHL level can be drawn unless he gets a prolonged opportunity (15-20 games) to play as a 2nd or 3rd line center. If Martin is planning to use DD as an energy line player, then he may as well just send him back to Hamilton tonight. DD is not a 4rth liner and it's pointless to use him as such.

i want to be optimistic, but with JM, I see DD getting a bottom-6 role, strict restrictions about how he is supposed to play, plugger linemates, and a very short leash...

not a recipe for success for him, or for the team.

I really don't get why a guy like White, or possibly even Maxwell, doesn't get the call up first... both would be much more suited to play the role and style JM expects from young players.

I hope he gets a chance to do what he does best, but given the track record of our current coach, that seems highly unlikely... putting players in a position to succeed seems to be clearly a non-factor in his decision making.

and now we have too many centers lol

he needs to play with patches, it'd be slightly dumb to not do it. these guys ripped the ahl together and have chemistry, let's see if it carried over...

im not usually one to believe the old old adage that small players can't play in the nhl, but the man is 5'6, that's crazy short.... he'll get checked elbows in the face all the time, like a 24/7 pronger-physics on the guy! ok, that's an inch less than martin st-louis, but im pretty damn sure he's no st-louis... yet

When a player playes this well in the A, u have to give him a chance or it sends the wrong message to all there.

Please don't play him with moen or pyatt or Lapierre

Right now Gomez is outplaying Plekanec, so if DD outplays Gomez, maybe we should put him on the first line, and play him with Lafleur and Shutt. With 24 minutes a game, I'm sure he could put up a few points.

ELLER played a very strong game with Pooly and Darche so I'm curious to see what the lines will be at practice today.

My guess is either;

1) Kostitsyn scratched.

2) Pyatt/Darche/Moen scratched.
3) Pouliot scratched.
