not any more. everyone seems to think we need a heavyweight dressed every night and we need to fight every night. not that this is directed at you but some people cant get out of the 70s mentality. Why are players like Shelley around?
why do people see the need for Carcillo and Rinaldo on this team? Dont get me wrong I like physical tough hockey as much as anyone, but I hate stupid hockey players.
Yeah, agreed, I think tough, physical play needs to remain a Flyers trademark, but there's no need for cheap shots and fighting just for the sake of fighting. That being said, I do like Anaheim a lot just for that same thing, their physical play, along with having a soft spot for Parros
“His game has been as good [lately], his numbers are different, but that has to be expected with a young goaltender,” goalie coach Jeff Reese said. “Now how do you deal with it? It’s a process and a learning experience and it’s adversity.
“This is the first time he’s faced adversity this year. He’s doing to do this throughout his whole career, so it’s a good test for him.”
The Flyers are in Anaheim on Friday and it's anyone's guess who will be in goal, but it might be Boucher.
Head coach Peter Laviolette defers to Reese on how to massage the egos of his goalies. Or in this case, manage Bobrovsky’s psyche.
RDS (Canada): Canadiens trade Maxim Lapierre to Ducks.
For a **** return too. Lapierre wasn't exactly gold, but he was still a physical bottom six pest. Now the Habs don't have a pest and they're even more soft then before. He was their leader in hits IIRC.
