To be fair, Snow took a conditional 3rd and turned it into a 2nd and a 5th. And now they're below the cap floor. Rolston claim coming up?

Parse will be back around the 11th of Feb. He has had a good physical recently and is looking to be on schedule. That is if you believe that his only problem is in his one leg. I think we see him on the 11th of Feb but in a diminished capacity.

Westgarth can barely get in the line-up...Where will Parse fit...I see a forward going somewhere...

BTW, aren't we glad we got Sturm for less money than Simon Gagne...Gagne has 3 goals, 4 assists in 18 games and is a -14. Ouch.

I was sweating bullets that we would choke and sign Gagme. Great miss by us.

given the look of the lineup even as it stands today... Parse IS diminished capacity.

I was kind of curious...the forwards group are going to be packed in like a can of sardines. Parse will be relegated to spot duty and will have to stay healthy and earn his spot back.

Spots will open up. It's only a matter of time before Smyth or Williams get injured.

I look at Parse coming back the same way I do as our having a healthy D corps.

We have only had a handful of games with our top D playing and thanks to our ridiculous depth on D we have been able to overcome any losses that we have faced.

With Sturm in the line up and with Parse's inevitable return if we remain healthy then we have our depth player(s) in the event of any injuries.

Of course the likelihood of a deal is becoming more and more evident.

were i Dean, i'd honestly consider looking at moving both Parse and Drewiske for another veteran blueliner.

I'd buy that for a dollar.

Who do we get for that package that isn't making top dollar?

Not me.

I wouldn't add another D to our team unless WM was ruled dead. I would build on what we have been doing and that is beginning to rely on our ridiculous depth on D by bringing up Muzzin (my opinion most ready but I spent three hours watching VV's play to date this season yesterday and he looks ready and likely to become a top pairing D man) and slowly start giving him minutes as our 7th so that he can be closer to ready if needed. Send Harrold down (won't happen) and hope for the best (playoff roster) or if needed sooner.

I would consider moving one of our kid D along with a player like Simmonds to try and fill our only real hole and that is on LW up front. If not then I would stand pat for the rest of the season, send down Parse upon his return for conditioning and to get him some game time and if we are all healthy going into the playoffs I would add him to our run roster.

It is tough to say at this point which way will be the right way to go but if you look at us we are too flush with young talent in a couple of area's and weak in others so we will likely be addressing this one way or another at some point. I would likely wait until after the playoffs providing we were all healthy but I like some of our kids so much that I think we would be better off continuing to build from within for another year before we do anything critical.

According to TFP, the Kings have been scouting the Leafs and the player they may have interest in is Francois Beauchemin.

I would love to have him on the Kings. He plays a rough and tough shutdown style that we could really use; especially his toughness.

Well, they could pair Beauchemin with Doughty, Johnson with Mitchell (when he's healthy) and Scuderi with Greene. That could help tighten things up defensively (least one would assume it would).

have you watched this guy at any other time than when he was playing alongside a Hall Of Fame defenseman in 2006-07?

he's always been a tough, mediocre defenseman who was incredibly overrated after one strong season and a highlight of a fight with Jarome Iginla.

he's also dialed in at nearly another $4 Million for next year... where would YOU spot him in the lineup?

dealing Voynov for someone like Beachemin would be one of worst moves Lombardi has done.

I wouldn't move Voynov for him, but Drewiske can go for all I care.
