1 more period to go.

If US wins they get a bye. OT loss means they play Russia and regulation loss means they play Canada.

Something was holding back Kreider on that breakaway.

Edit: that looks like penalty shot. Talk about blind refs.......

Almost Kreider! Didn't have much room to execute, but nice try.

Was getting tangled up with by the defender's stick.

I feel like the tournament this year lacks that "star power" factor that has been in previous tournaments. Nino has been completely invisible this entire game.

I am hooked on Bourque, he had a fantastic game. Kreider has all the tools to be a great NHL player.
Other players im impressed with: Conz, Callahan

Bourque was awesome tonight. Very slid defensively too. Kreider was a beast, got the goal hit a bar, drew at least on penalty driving to the net, he was flying all night...

OT: Conz is a beast of a goalie, and the little Engler kid is a b****

I was impressed with Kreiders passing. He was hitting players in good position to score but it mostly bounced off the players sticks. They do not hand soft hands.

Kreider was really flying tonight. He had the goal, hit the bar, had a breakaway where he should have gotten a penalty shot and setup at least 2 or 3 plays which should have ended in goals. He was all over the place tonight.

And while Bourque played soundly on defense, I dont know what made him the player of the game, unless he did something spectacular in the 10 minutes I missed.

Bourque was solid in the offensive and defensive zones all night, he had his chances. I personally was expecting Kreider to get the POTG, but it was hard to argue against Bourque.

This was a wonderful game played by Kreider and as many of you guys were saying during our discussions the other night, he stepped up in a big way in a big game.

Kudos to him. He played great and was a force al night.

Kreider was the best skater for either team tonight, by a HUGE margin. It looked like he was being double, and sometimes triple shifted. I know I regularly saw him with Palmieri and Coyle as well as with Shore and Callahan, and then I saw him for a shift or 2 with Bourque and Bjugstad. The coach just kept rolling him out there shift after shift. It almost seemed like every other shift he was out there while other players were rolling through like normal. Id be curious what his TOI was, but it felt like he was on the ice for damn near half the game. What a monster performance.

hell with that, ill argue that point to no end. Bourque had a great game, no doubt. Kreider was magnificent though. EASILY the best skater on the ice for either team. Not sure how its even a discussion.
