Tonight was the first game in Wild history that they allowed two empty net goals in a single game...

Any win at this point is a good win. Especially after 5 loses in a row. We had jump for the first time in a long time and we got the bounces not just our goals but the ones that didn't go in for the Wild. Franson with a nice quick wrist shot for a goal but he's a liabilty still on defense. Klein and Franson both made mistake that we are lucky they didn't find the back of the net. Klein has taken a step backwards this year and I'm beginning to wonder about him. Is this the best he's ever going to be. Weber shot and tip-in by Hornqvist. Hornqvist is showing that he's not a bust and if he gets hot and get's a good line with him ...hint Trotz.. that he could jump up to that 25-30 goal level. We've got a logjam of players that basically do the same thing. Nice pass by Legwand from behind the net to Svatos who should have a goal there. This win showed me one thing if Poile can prove to the players that he's trying to win they are going to give their effort and it showed the last two games. I like Dumont and know his skill but what line does he really belong on. I think the best move would be to move Dumont ...of course he would have to oblige but I think it would the best for him and the team. Spaling needs to go to Milw and work on some kind of confidence for his offensive game at this point he has none. Defensively we look good with a few breakdowns but it seem like we held on and those en goals were a relief. Maybe it's our turn to start a streak the other way

Well first off happy new year everyone. Welcome to 2011. Here in Taiwan we've been waiting for you to catch up to 2011.

Sorry I missed the game, would have loved to see it.

Last night was great though, good dinner, lots of fireworks up in Taipei (Republic of China is now 100 years old ) and our Christmas gifts from America arrived as well.

Happy New Year and wooooo Preds won!

Next time you get tired of Pete and Terry have a listen to the guys from MN. I was driving back so had to listen to XM feed from MN - holy smokes, poor is all I can say. They'd get lost in the action, play would be stopped and they'd be describing 3 moves of the puck yet; you woulda' thought the Preds only had a goalie and one guy on the ice at a time cause I don't think I ever heard them describe a Pred passing it to another, except to give the assist on the goals.

On the plus side, they did a nice interview of Poile in 1st intermission. (at least I made it close enough to home to hear our call on the 2nd empty-netter)

A win with me returning to Texas (and having a fresh bottle from Lynchburg) .... too bad they couldn't have done it when I was at the UC or the Bridge.

I thought we came out high flying, which was nice to see for a change. I know Svatos got on the board with 2 PIM, but I thought he had a few good looks. 3rd period we seemed to have shut down quite a bit and play to their tune, but we still came out on top. Hope we can build off of this.

ummmm .... uhhhh .....

If I count this as a game with me in Tx (I crossed the border just after puck drop), the team's record is 15-2-6 with me in this state. I guess the trip to Lynchburg did some good.

I don't suggest taking a drink every time Suter or Weber touch the puck. That, icing, and a shot with each goal. Oy!

My liquor cabinet does .... a bottle straight from the distillery made the trip home with me. I guess that the TPCR powers needed a top off.

During the offseason do you go with a water diet to clean up the liver for future use?

Ah, that makes sense. So I would be behooved to start that Jack smuggling business in the sandbox?

I'm not risking a career to drink this team to victory. The boys need to figure out how to win when I'm not in Texas and they should figure it out sooner rather than later.

Great scott, 4 goals! Couldn't watch this one, was too busy punishing my liver. Sounds like a good effort though. Can somebody elaborate on svatos's play, and what lines Trotz was running with.

Cheers

Happy new years everyone.

Those are the best line combos I've seen all year. Each line seemed to do what was necessary last night.

Was just checking out the stats. Why did Dumont - Oreilly - Horns only get 10min of icetime? Were they benched for a period, or just spoon-fed?

Dumont has been terrible. O'Reilly hasn't done squat offensively in probably the last 15 games. This is why I didn't jump on his bandwagon as quick as others. He is playing the way I got used to seeing him play before this year. To be fair he isn't hurting us defensively even though he's not scoring. He isn't here for his defensive prowess though so it's time for him to pick it up.

Hornqvist drew the short stick and gets the shaft playing with these two right now.

This line has potential if everyone played to their abilities. That's not happening.
