2 experienced NHLers in Williams and White should help the pack for sure. Although losing MZA and now Weise must hurt them a bit

If anyone is going the Whale - Providence game tonight and is looking to talk to Howard Baldwin (who will be available for fan suggestions from 4-5pm), kindly pass this on to him from a "fan" and follower in Europe (that would be me):

Dear Mr. Baldwin,

For us who can't attend the games (I live in Europe), can we please have less advertising, promotional stuff, graphics, videos etc. when we are watching the game via AHLlive.com? Every time the Whale go on the PP, you miss the first 15 or so seconds because of the "SuperCuts" promo video, we miss out on all post-whistle activity due to Happy Birthday messages etc. (you get the drift). I know many other AHL team feeds (when the Whale is on the road, I watch too) cut that out or keep it to a minimum so people watching the game on AHLlive have a better viewing experience. Camera angles and all are great, but all this in-house promo on the Jumbo is also being broadcast on the AHLlive game stream, and to be honest, its a pain in the butt to miss out on game action, fights, post-whistle scrums, Whale goal celebrations, etc.

If I had the opportunity, I'd go to every game live, but living across the pond, its not really an option. Thank you for your consideration.

Thank you / Dankeschön / Merci

Love how Tortorella isn't even sure about who their AHL farm team is

See his comment/question at about 6:18 into the video

I think Torts plays it up a bit - he always comes out and says how he doesn't pay much attention to the kids, doesn't know who they are, relies on information from the coaching staff down there and his assistants, etc.

There's no way he can really be as ignorant about the Rangers system as he always proclaims to be. It's like he makes a point to constantly say how little he pays attention to them. I don't know why.

Cue the fire torts threads

I don't care, as long as we are not ignoring the system (exactly the opposite) We give the guys the jobs they earned (Del Zotto, Anisimov, Stepan, Sauer) and callup those who deserve it to give them a chance during injury (Weise, Zucc, Parenteau, Byers, ect)

This team gets it.

Whale up 4-1 through 2. Dupont, Williams, Kennedy, and Grachev with goals so far. Talbot is in between the pipes, only having faced 14 shots through 2.

If he keeps scoring at a PPP pace, I think he deserves a cup of coffee with the big club .

Didn't notice Redden going off at all, but Dupont took a nasty high stick above the eye and was bleeding. We'll see.

Overall a good win against the last place team. Solid all around and Grachev looked great again. Didiomete earned that 3rd star with good overall play.

It might be even better than that. 12 wins maybe. I'm not sure.

I was just thinking how good this team would be if MZA and Weise were both still on the roster in addition to White and Jason Williams. White is going to be great as this level, hahahaha.

Any updates on how the young d-men are playing? Specifically McDonagh, Valentenko, and Kundratek. Which out of the three looks most ready to take the next step?

Probably because he knows how much fans overrate prospects. By acting like he's ignoring them, he doesn't allow people to hassle him as to why certain prospects aren't up.
