Thanks, I will try that. It is also great to see the replays you don't get at the arena since you can miss a goal, if you are eating dinner at the time and fail to look up because you don't hear the announcer beforehand saying two on one or whatever. HA HA!

i just hate that whenever there is a game at the Nassau Coliseum, the main camera is sat on the one blue line instead of center, the cameraman has to like snap zoom to get stuff at the far end. that's dumb. and MSG needs to turn up their in-house volume so the horn and crowd is louder.

Hockey sucks on Tv, at least here in my country ("north corea"). Shot to far away so the puck can barely be seen. Hockey is a live sport, have to be seen live.

I think they should incorporate a lot of overhead camera shots looking down on the ice.

HD makes a huge difference in being able to follow the puck at high speeds.

My problem is the constant constant constant bombardment of ads and ads disguised as useless graphics. Sometimes half the screen is covered with crap. Plus the moronic announcers that try to outdo each other in stupidity, and the completely totally absolutely useless sideline bimbos that they inflict on us.

If they had an HD game with no ads on the screen and no announcers except maybe one competent play-by-play man it would be perfect.

i also dont understand how people cant follow it at home, as much as i am involved with the game (fan, player, coach, and referee) i watch NHL network as a default and can watch any game at any given time. tv provides excellent stats, different perspectives, and replays, analysis, and insite. ive been a student of the game for many years and i guess its almost like an acquired taste being able to watch it at home.

HD has changed everything. I think it's one of the big reasons why hockey television ratings are growing. I can actually see where the opuck is shot. That's a huge leap for the casual fan.

As for production, the one shot I can't stand is when the producer shows a power play from the camera above the net. I think they think they are doing something unique. I find it aggrevating and it misses much of what happens in the corners and behind the net.

Most US production is still inferior to Canada. Some of the regional networks are really bad.
