JANUARY SCHEDULE:

QUOTES TO NOTE:

It's a big point. Obviously that's a tough goal there in OT, but we stuck with it all game.
- Marc Staal

When you tie a game that late, you have to be happy with the point. We worked hard and played well.
- Henrik Lundqvist

It's important that he got a goal, but we're going to need more out of Gabby.
I think he's struggling with his confidence.
- John Tortorella

Gotta say Biron gets this start.

What are we, 9-0-0 in the second game of back to backs?

Let's make it 10

LETS GO RANGERS

Gross said Biron was playing.

Doesnt surprise me either. Just hope he doesnt end up losing it for us, is all. Guy is very inconsistent.

Tortorella would not say who’s starting tomorrow at Florida, though the house money is being bet on Marty Biron.

He's had one bad game and one bad period. Not my very definition of inconsistent.

I'm more worried about Vokoun brickwalling us.

Oh, no, hes been doing this long before his days as a Ranger.

Very on and off goalie, which is one of the reasons Miller was drafted and groomed to replace Biron even when he was Buffalo's starter.

But as a backup I don't think his inconsistency becomes that big an issue, especially seeing how he's performed as Hank's backup. Looking at him solely as a Ranger, he's won us more games than he's lost us.

It isnt a problem. In fact, id reference to to hockeyrodent's steady eddie vs Hiccup harry rant, its actually a good thing, especially in a backup. Having a goalie who is good 3 games and bad 1 is better than one who is mediocre for 4 games.

All I was saying is that I hope he doesnt have one of his bad games tomorrow.

Biron will most likely start tommorow. It'd be nice if we could pick up max points.

I'll miss this one. But start Biron and make it 10-0-0 in back-to-backs.

No excuses for losing to Florida. I'll be satisfied to come out of back-to-back road games with 3/4 points.

Yeah not sure how anyone could be down on Biron. He's a backup, folks. If he went out and stopped 92% of the shots every night, he'd be an excellent starting goaltender somewhere. He's way more likely to help steal us a game than he is to give one away...not sure what else you could ask from your backup.
