Can anyone who's watched Desharnais extensively (*cough* montreal *cough* Whitesnake *cough*) tell me if he's comfortable playing the wing, or if he has at all at any time in Hamilton or his junior career?

I'd like to see DD on a line with AK.

Camm - Plek - Eller
Pouliot - Gomez - Gio
Pacman - DD - AK 46
Moen - Halpern - Darche

3 good off lines and a potent 4th line

Don't expect any lines that make sense, not in JM's world.

You're more likely to see this:

Pacioretty - Gomez - Gionta
Cammalleri - Plekanec - Darche
Pouliot - Desharnais - Pyatt
Moen - Halpern - Kostitsyn

But wait - JM *never* messes with a winning lineup though.

EDIT: I was close for DD's line.

Desharnais playing with Darche and Pouliot per Luc Gelinas. Hopefully DD and Pouliot mesh nicely.

At least he gets one offensive guy with him, was worried he'd be stuck with Pyatt and Moen.

I'm guessing Eller will be scratched now?

Oh damn, this game's at 1pm? I was just about to go out.

It's a home game so it might not be an auto-loss too.

According to RDS and the Team990, Eller is out and Desharnais is in. He will be in between Pouliot and Darche.

Can't believe JM prefers Pyatt and Darche over Eller or AK46.

Can't say I agree with scratching Eller, but I do agree that DD needs a least one skilled winger.
I just feel bad for Eller because DD will probably be used more than him and be given some PP time, something Eller never got.

RDS is saying it's either Desharnais or Kostitsyn sitting, NOT Eller. But we'll see soon enough I guess. 22 players in the pre-game warm-up for now.

DD for Eller, well Eller hasn't been putting up points so I can't be to upset, but he does look good out there. Still think a guy like Eller is more effective than both darche and moen. Still think we haven't seen our best line combo's together. Hopefully they start to put a streak together today, GO HABS GO!

I believe it says a lot about JM's system when the Thrashers have 3 players ahead or tied with our top player in points and 2 of their players are defence-men.

A little more leash should be given to our offensive players, after all they are defensively aware and will get back to their end if the offensive push fails.

Can't win with 1 or 2 goals per game.

I like Eller and all but maybe a scratch or two will light an even bigger fire under his bum that causes his shots to not go wide.
