Sk has really evolved as a player since his Montreal days. He hounds the puck and plays with alot of passion. Great to see.

Solid win! Great effort, lots of puck possession, that's what I like to see! Belak with salt in the wound.

Ohio network gives Ward 3rd star? Are you kidding? Give it to Spaling for GW or Wilson for an excellent game

Back from the game,

The refs were paid by the Blue Jackets, they missed probably 5 tripping calls, and 2 right before the Legwand highstick penalty. Belak's crosschecking was him battling in front for a rebound and those usually go uncalled.

Belak was awesome the last 5 minutes, the Blue Jackets tried to be dirty and Belak countered by doing the same thing.

Svatos has talent, hes had a move today that was awesome and almost scored.

For some reason, Spaling makes Ward and Smithson better offensive players. I noticed during the Wild and again this game, this line is never stuck in our end and creates offensive scoring chances.

Our penalty kill is awesome, Columbus could do nothing at all on the Power play.

The only bad player was Franson and even though he made ill advised passes and wasn't great, he still was able to get some nice shots on net.

Hornqvist, Weber, and Suter all did their job and did it perfectly.

Ward did have a good game with lots of 2nd and 3rd efforts.

Cal has a broken leg.

Attendance was lower that I expected based on earlier start and weekend game.

Back from the game. God it was wonderful to have a fantastic view of the ice. It felt like heaven. Once again, saw NO ONE ON tHE GLASS I KNEW!!!

The first period was dead, crowd was dead, the Preds were dead and I was wishing we had Tootoo to amp up the team. I flat out leaned to Viqsi and said, 'This game is one Tootoo short of being interesting'

I saw Belak, it hurt my eyes and frankly if Tootoo wasn't on the team I'd think about waiving him. He has the passing skills of a VW bus running on 3 cylinders.

You can credit me for the PP goal. I leaned in to Viqsi and said, "Don't worry, it's the PP, Nashville won't score.' Five seconds later *goal horn*

Other than the jackass in section 301 trying to kick out Viqsi good game for me. I needed this.

And SK gets another point.

Cal O with a broken fibula. Owie.

But I'd rather be Cal than Hedja.

The first period was fun, especially given the score.

The second period turned awkward... not the least reason being because some total jackass decided to spit on me after the third goal. So I flipped him off. So he grabbed me by the ear and threatened me. Then he tried to get an usher to kick me out for the "obscene gesture"... thankfully, the usher'd seen the whole exchange and just asked me to refrain from such in the future. Still, blech. Oh, yeah, and I think BFC guaranteed there wouldn't be a goal shortly beforehand or something.

The third period was OK, I guess.

Next year, I'm going to have to pick a different section. And maybe hope for a team I can easily root against... say, the Red Wings.

Brutal news about O'Reilly. That is really going to hurt your team unless one of your injured guys comes back soon!
Weber with a great game, Hornqvist great too, Wilson credited with 2 assists although, replay shows he scored. Also deflected Webers shot before Hornqvist scored which would have given him 3 points.
I guess rookies don't complain about those things.
The defense looked solid for the most part. Franzen with a few "blips" but all in all a great effort from your D.
I am guessing that Spaling will move back to center which is really too bad because he added some offense to that line.

Goc
Legwand

also, the belak crosscheck, he hurled a man into mason. he earned his 2 min. not a bad game. only sleeping at the wheel at the first of the first hurt us. (btw was all sk and his soft feathery passes fault)

With Cal being out does Lundmark get the call up?

Solid if not spectacular win for us. Keeps us close to that 8th spot. I won't gripe cause we won but I do have issues with some of the play.
