He was playing on the fourth line and with absolute scrubs on that Jersey team since their starting line combines for almost 40% of their caphit alone. Put him on a line with people who can produce something and it might be different. If it fails, you just WAIVE HIM. Its better to try something than sit on your thumbs in your ***** isn't it?

He was playing on the fourth line on one of the worst teams in the NHL. If he had anything left he would have been claimed by now. I agree something should be done but Rolston is not the answer.

Zid has been a little worse IMO on the special teams this year but more than made up for it in his improvement 5 on 5.

Re: Rolston...if he was playing 4th line on the goal-starved Devils you know he has to suck hard. If putting him with half decent players were a recipe for scoring, NJ had far better options than we do. Nope, sucks. I don't buy the "leadership" crap people have spouted either.

I don't want him for the leadership thing. But fact remains him and Butch were great together. He was in the doghouse on Jersey as well. I'm not saying he's the answers to our prayers, but its better than nothing isn't it? What else do you guys wanna do? you already don't wanna give up anyone good so you have to do something else....

Hey, while we're at it why not pick up Owen Nolan too. There is a reason neither of these players have been picked up.

If we get Rolston off waivers, we need to get Todd White from NYR.

Fletcher: Zidlicky to try rehab first, out 4-6 weeks if it works; they'll know late in process if it's not and then reevaluate
