I had visions of that game in 2000(I believe it was that year) when the Flyers led 1-0 going into the final minute of regulation at the Joe and lost 2-1. in regulation.
Good trip consitering everything. the ****fest in Vancouver, and the lackluster effort in Anaheim. Ill take 2-2.
Good weekend, Rangers lose a pair this weekend(almost shutout in both games) and the Pens losing the WC in regulation and now we are back in 1st with game(s) in hand.

I just with Ville could have scored a goal even if it was an empty netter.

Tim P.s post-game:

http://www.csnphilly.com/01/02/11/Fl...593&feedID=695

Quote:
First unexpected event: The Flyers finally beat the Red Wings in Motown, 3-2, for their first win here in 22 years.

Second unexpected event: Dan Carcillo scored his first goal since Oct. 29 in Pittsburgh.

“That’s a good hockey team over there,” said Scott Hartnell, whose second period goal was the game-winner. “They hold onto the puck, they hardly ever dump it, they’re coming with speed at our defense. But we defended well.

“The chances they did have, Boosh [Brian Boucher] was there to swallow up rebounds. We did a good job early to get the three-goal need and we needed all three goals.”

This was easily the Flyers best defensive performance on the four-game swing against the Western Conference.

“The last few games of this road trip has been a wake-up call,” Hartnell said. “We haven’t played the right way, defensively. Offensively, we’ve been slow. Tonight … a different story.”

Lavi juggled around. He put the Hartnell-Briere-Leino line back together however.

Boucher has played well lately. But we all know he can play like this for stretches. He hasnt shown he can play like this long enough to be a legit #1 guy for a full season.. That isnt meant as a slight to the guy. thats just how it is. Just have to enjoy it when hes playing like this.

When Boosh is on a mission, he sure as hell gets the job done. Right up until the point where he sucks mightily.

It would be so nice if players like Boucher came with an LED display counter indicating how many quality starts he had remaining. As of now, we couldn't ask for more from him with Bob starting to look less spectacular and Leighton remaining a huge question mark.

Boosh played well last year too. Our team just sucked for a large portion of last year and even when it was playing well it was still a worse team on paper then the one we have this year. San Jose fans think he performed well for them as well. So Boosh playing well as a backup isn't anything new, at least to me.

That's the thing though, he's a backup.
