Didn't get to see this game. Great to see that Koivu had a good game with four assists. What happened to Havlat? Hopefully just an off night...

If the Wild can't beat the Devils...

EDIT: Is it a good news that Brodeur won't play against us?

Despite Bouchard's awesome ending of the game, he looks out of shape.

He looked dangerous his first couple games back, now, he just looks tired.

No. Backups kill the Wild.

So we're 4 points out of and 4 points out of 6th place. So there's a 4 point spread between 6-13. Can we jump all of these teams? Probably not, but we sure have a chance. The cutoff last year was 95 points and the next closest team had 90. We had 84, 11 points out of a playoff spot.

We have to keep winning games, it's a shame that we let that game yesterday go to OT because we would sitting in 12th, actually climbing the standings. We have to win AT LEAST 2 out of the 3 games on this road swing. For every loss, we need 2 wins to replace them if we want to make the playoffs. I think there's a shot that we can do it, but it's going to be a dogfight for these last 3 spots in the playoffs, at least it will be fun hockey to watch. I think these guys can do it. Losing Z for the year would really really hurt, but we've gotten surprisingly decent defenseman play. Maybe if we can somehow bring in an impact scorer or something like that we can make a run. We're stuck in a tough spot, wanting to make the playoffs but don't want to give up many assets and we should trade away our pending FA's. It's a tough call for Fletch, and I can't even say what we should do. I don't want a "re-build." At this point, we would be picking like 10th. You can get an impact player, but it's not an upper-echelon talent usually.

I'm optimistic right now, but we need Backs to play well.

We need both to play well. Jose did let two in, in 20 seconds after all and NEITHER can win in the shootout. We still haven't won a game yet that has gone to it. I'm holding my breath, but like I said before the season began, this team does have the talent caliber to get into the playoffs. Going deep on the other hand though...

The only thing that is keeping this team from the playoffs is losing games against teams they should've been able to beat like Nashville. Minnesota does need to win against Jersey and hopefully Boston(not holding my breath on that one)

We typically do fairly well against the Eastern Conference
