If Picard had the 3.8 mil procetag Spacek does I'm sure you'd be saying he is worse than Spacek. As much as Spacek can be frustrating at times, he is miles ahead of Picard...however I wouldn't mind moving him after the season and signing Hamrlik for another year at 3.5-4 mil instead as #4.

good stuff, although not sure how i feel about havlat.
Havlat would cost a fortune, he's ripping it up the last 2 months and Minny is in playoff contention. He would cost AK and Subban.

Any chance John Tavares asks to be moved off the Island with the mess things are there? He would look good on a line with Cammo and Pleks.

I'd offer AK, Weber and Spacek for Havlat. I doubt they'd reject that offer, their team is in the PO race but they have a snowball's chance in hell to win anything. Havlat would finally round out the Top6 here.

this team needs beef on wing, and that make room for cammy and such, too small

Hamrlik - Subban
Georges - Gill
Picard - WizzBang
ex. rando trade/signing/callup

Looks just as good to me as having Spacek in there.

They would definitely reject that offer. Spacek and AK cost more than Havlat, Spacek has no value or negative value.

Beef doesn't win you games in the post lockout NHL. You need to have skill and skate.

I could see Gauthier trading AKost.

But other than that, I don't see much more activity going on.

People need to be a little bit realistic here - Gauthier's already done a lot this season on the trade front. Even if he doesn't do much more the rest of the year, I think he's done his job.

He added The Wiz which gives the team a much better chance to win. Now it's time for Martin and the team to do their jobs.

You're right, PG has done a lot, and Wiz is a very good addition. But Markov going down changed everything. The Habs are left with more cap space and a whole lot less talent than expected. I think PG has a responsibility to at least try and do something with this situation.

I wouldn't mind getting a cheap d-man from vancouver either Bieksa or Ballard, they'll need to dump salary soon.

I think he has a responsibility to be realistic and not overspend in a year we have very little chance of doing any damage.

DETROIT IS SUCCESS .....divsion titles.....cups........best drafting ever with no top picks ....player development.....cap management......

New Jersey - Langenbrunner(2.8mill)

The ideal offer that people tend to agree on, is a prospect + a pick.

Phoenix - Wolski(3.8mill)

In the dog house, they won't be low balled, but he could probably be had at this point.

Columbus - Umberger(3.75mill)

Don't know if he could be had but, he would be able to notch 20 for sure.

Toronto - Versteeg(3.833mill)

Wasn't suppose to be offered, but starting to get alot of attention from teams around the league, I don't know if a bidding war would begin, but he could be an option as well.

Those are 5 that come to mind to me. They have size, and they go to the net. There are a few out there, that I believe will be available at the deadline.
this is where the nonsense must stop

4 effen mil for 20 goals?

I can get Eller ...Max....Darche...to get me 25 in total for 1 AK46 and a house in Westmount thrown in

too much money for secondary players

1st rounder, AK, Leblanc, Tinordi?
I can't see Montreal trading Tinordi or Leblanc unless something very very solid comes back to Montreal.

I can see Montreal packaging their 1st along with AK though.

I'd like to see Montreal grab Fehr from Washington to play on a second or third line.

At this point, I wonder how many GM's would value Tinordi more highly than the Habs' 1st pick...

There are nights where Price plays well, the offense is buzzing and the defense really limits the other teams chances. Then there are nights where Price can't stop a beach ball, we generate absolutely nothing in the other teams end and our defense turns over pucks all night for great scoring chances. I'd just like to see some consistency.

That's the case for most NHL teams except about 4-5.

Depends on the pick. I think Maxwell would be enough or darn close. I think he is reary for the NHL or darn close and has a good cap hit.
