Are you confident that he will get going ? Or he is really going to put up 20 points this year ?
I still think he'll be around 30 points by the end of the season. He has good enough instincts and the Canes are scoring enough right now for that to still be realistic.

Good, thank you.
Maybe I'll drop Bolland, we'll see the next month.
Jay Harrison - I know that a team's least effective defenseman is almost always the whipping boy for that team's fanbase. This is pretty universal. From what I can tell, Harrison is the goat in Carolina. Is this true? What is the biggest knock on him? Does he have any redeeming qualities, at all?

He actually has been at least serviceable this year. When he is bad the worst knock on him is probably his amazing knack to find himself in the worst position possible.

relatively physical, pretty acceptable PKer, pretty decent positionally when he's not asked to scramble in his zone (IE: play against faster lines). For a guy that's making league minimum, he's rather acceptable. Now why we have him as our #6 rather then retaining a guy like Pothier who's capable of playing a top 4 role? that's another matter entirely.
I'm looking to replace a RWer on my fantasy team, Skinner is available. Is the 16 points just a fluke? He seems to have cooled down considerably. 1 assist in the past 5 games or is this just a case of the whole team not playing well lately?
the team as a whole has scored in bunches then slumped from game to game this season. He hasn't really slowed down at all, other lines have just been the ones fortunate enough to be productive in other games. The Staal line, then the Sutter-Jokinen line. He'll be fine, and definitely should be picked up if it's a keeper.
He's a LW though, not sure why they have him listed on the right.
What do you guys thing of Mike Murphy? I drafted him in a keeper league a couple of years ago, and it looks like he's doing pretty well in the A. He's in a tough situation with Ward locked in, but he looks like he might be a good one.

Does anyone think he'll be a starter in the league? I would think that he's looking at an upside of being a good backup, and he certainly can achieve that with this franchise. And soon, it would appear...

Yes, definitely. He's similar to a Jaroslav Halak type, both in his size and his style. Halak's stats were better in the AHL but he was also on a better defensive team in the AHL. With how Murphy's played this year and last year before injury he should probably get a look here soon enough.

That's why I asked, no one gives him much of a chance, but he did win those consecutive OHL goalie of the year awards, and it has been so far so good in the AHL. I guess size is a concern, but he has succeeded everywhere he has played so far, and he's only 21.
He took a huge step toward earning that tonight, he is really only up because Tlusty is out, but we will see, pretty much all of us think he is better than Tlusty anyway, but we aren't sure that the brass feels that way.
Though history says that McBain will get better as the season progresses, Shattenkirk looks to be a better option at the moment.
Dumping Hudler is a no-brainer, to me. If your league scores hits, I'd take a close look at Brian Boyle. Skinner isn't a bad pickup, but I tend to stay away from Carolina players in general since they typically aren't league leaders, statistically speaking.

Hi, thanks for your opinion.
Our fantasy draft only counts points, so the only thing I care is the total points at the end of the year !
Hi everyone. I was wondering if you guys could shed some light on Jamie McBain for me – particularly what he's good at, what he sucks at, and how well you think he'll do next year.
He's not much of a hitter, so don't expect much in hit or PIM numbers, but other then that you should be good to go if you have him in a keeper. He compares well to a lot of the other rookie dmen this year in Carlson, Subban and Shattenkirk. Was on pace for a 30+ point season before his injury. Skating, shot, playmaking, creativity, reading the play, positional play, all things he's at worst good at. I'm probably in the minority but I think he has the upside to be a top pairing player here.
