It`s Frodo time this game. I bet he will make 1+1 tomorrow.

I love watching Carolina play the Rangers. Cam Ward is a great goalie to watch and imo is pretty underrated. Also good to see Stepan and Skinner in this one. Two of the leagues best young rookies.

Agree, i think Cam Ward has quietly been one of the most consistent goaltenders over the past few seasons. When you look at guys like Thomas, Miller and Fluery they all get a good amount of notoriety for their play, but have been inconsistent for stretches and have had sub-par slides. Cams been a real solid goalie and he seems to keep an even kiel with his game.

Good goalie on the other side. Loss is very likely, unless Hank will save us.

He is playing under 10 minutes a game.. can't be expected to turn games around.

Chicken or egg debate. What has he done to prove he deserves more than 10 mins a game?

1st half has been very good honestly... they work hard (for the most part) and haven't really been blown out of games, and have obviosuly been injured up and down the lineup.

The question really is where does the rest of the season go? I think Dubi is right on... this IS a fork in the road.

Tonight's game is pretty important honestly.

Interesting quote from a canes fan about the canes.

"Will we see the Hurricanes team that JR put a fire under their tails to come out strong or will we see the Hurricanes team that doesn't give a flip until the last 5-10 minutes of the game?"

Made me laugh that sounds familiar. Althjough I don't feel we come out flat I feel we actually come out strong nd hitting but quikcly just make defensive mistakes.

Expecting a loss tonight. Carolina has played pretty well as of late, and we haven't. Hopefully Cally is back soon.

Yeah I agree, what exactly do people expect him to do playing those minutes?

Anyway this is a pretty big game. It would be nice to get a regulation win tonight and get a little more seperation from the 9th seed.

What's he supposed to do? Hit somebody. Draw a penalty. Get under the skin of an opponent. You don't need lots of minutes to do that. Not expecting him to score goals.

He does not have to score but it would be nice to see him make the smart play in the offensive zone. Torts told him not to be a playmaker and shoot more but he seems to only follow that directive when there is no shot to be had.

No more blind back passes would be a start.

This is actually a really big game. It's the difference between being 4 points ahead of the 9th place team or 8 points ahead.

That's exactly my point. He doesn't need a lot of minutes to be effective or do something to help the team. Or at least be involved.
