Palmieri passes and look what happens! Maybe you should have done that a little more in the tournament...

Impressed with Fasth. Looks like a steal. At first I thought it was Jarnkrok (sp?) and I was like darn we should have drafted him. Haha.

Glad to hear our boys did good.

Still sour about the loss to Canada. Whatever, hopefully Stepan can help unleash Kreider's potential. If he could make D'amico look good, just think of what he can do to someone like Kreider!

Pass from the corner to the front where Fasth was battling with Leddy. He out-muscled him for his first shot which Campbell kicked back out towards him. His stick was tied up and he fought through the check to put a semi-weak backhander lifted about 18 inches off the ice into the open net as Campbell was already down from the first save.

Great goal.

Not gold, but glad we atleast medaled. Looking forward to the team next year. Hopefully we can win a gold on Canadian turf. A team with Campbell (again!), Saad, Grimaldi, Merrill sounds promising. I'm probably forgetting more guys too. Who else is eligible to return next year? Etem is I think.

So Kreider scored 2 in this game?

I have the game recording at home on the DVR... Will watch it after the Rangers game tonight.

Well, of the Ranger prospects in the tourney, only Fasth should be playing again next year. I think the rest will be 20 years old.

Good stuff from Jesper and Kreider with very impressive tourneys. Bourque has not hurt himself this season in my eyes. Still a long shot but a hard worker.

Much better than the Canada game. Palmieri still sucks, imo.

I'm glad the Rangers prospects all had a a solid game.

They should. It all depends on how everyone progresses. I would expect that Etem, Coyle and Bjugstad would be the leaders on offense. If Campball comes back I would think they would be the favorites again as their defense will be anchored by a few returnees.

When Zucker had his breakaway at the end I told my dad we were lucky it wasn't Kreider, mere minutes later I was proven correct.

Bittersweet ending, at least it was Kreider that scored. But I wasn't that invested after the loss to Russia TBH.

Fasth had a good tournament and was IMO Sweden's best player in the loss vs Russia. With Kreider and Bourque playing well (from what I've read) it seems like it was a good WJC for Ranger prospects.
