Pit-dal

To Dallas: Pascal Dupuis
09-10: 18G 20A 38P +5
10-11: 8G 9A 17P +9

To Pittsburgh: Steve Ott
09-10: 22G 14A 36P -14
10-11: 8G 9A 17P -8

Steve Ott will bring the same amount of points to Pittsburgh as he does to Dallas, where Sidney Crosby needs a more enforcer type of player on his line who still can score.
Pascal Dupuis will bring the team work to Dallas, which Morrow needs.

I think Steve Ott would be a good addition to the Penguins for a Pascal Dupuis loss, and the Stars would also benefit from this.

Pens don't have the cap room for this and Crosby doesn't really need an enforcer by his side. I'd probably do it from a Pens pov if they actually had the cap room. Ott is a little better offensive player than Dupuis, imo. Dupuis is a beast on the backcheck and is still decent offensively.

I know I can not convince much after tonights blowout against the lightning on how the Pens need a new player, but I just wanted to through that idea out there because its been in my mind since the beginning of the season

I know, I wish we had someone to show Morrow how to work the team.

Well, at least it wasn't "Eriksson/Neal/Benn" to Pittsburgh.

Ott is an infinitely nicer asset to have than Pascal flippin' Dupuis.

No, and don't try to convince us otherwise.

At first I thought this and then I realized he is trying to get Ott for his enforcer/offensive ability which just confused me but either way no...Stars are good without Dupuis showing Morrow the team work.

I never said the Stars are bad just, I was just trying to improve both teams

hey, all I want is a Pens/Stars Cup Final. I was born into a North Stars/Pens Cup 92' and still to this day I want it again... Even though it was Minnesota and now Dallas.

Stars need to add. Dupuis is a first-line talent and has been vital to Crosby's success. I'd almost go as far as saying Crosby is holding him back.

Stats may be comparable but Ott is actually the better player. And who cares if dupuis has his name on the cup it doesn't make him a better player. Put Ott on the same team as Dupuis had in the same situation and he would have his name on the cup......

Yeah but in reality that did not happen so why don't you state facts instead of fiction?

This is getting flamed from both sides, and is going nowhere.
