I was hopeful but missing hammer is going to hurt ...a lot.
I guess we have to just hope our O turns it on tonight.

Hopefully the Penguins overdid it yesterday but there's no way we are keeping a clean sheet so let's hope the offense shows up.
It was 4-0 nothing within about 8 minutes, which left me with nothing to worry about while watching the Gold medal game. That cluster **** of a third period made me sleep about 3 hours last night.

It was a weird game against Tampa last night. The score got out of hand so quickly Bylsma immediately started cutting minutes and mixing lines. If they lose tonight, the Pens shouldn't have playing last night as an excuse.

Subban lost his bet with Markov, he was wearing a Russia hat and a Russia jacket today to face the media. He said he never saw Markov laugh like that and he think Markov gave him girl size

I am not talking about Philly here. Pens had horrible management that led to their last place finishes in 2002, 2003, 2004 and 2006 which led to Fleury, Staal, Malkin, Crosby and Staal.

They are the biggest bandwagon and unknowledgeable fan base around.

There's a common misconception that the Penguins problems happened because of attendance and poor fan support, which couldn't be further from the truth.

The bankruptcy problems started way before the team started doing poorly in the standings. In fact, the problems started during Jagr's Hart years, where our core also included Straka, Lang, and Kovalev who were all still very much in their primes. Not only were they easily making the playoffs, they were getting past the first round and making some noise.

In the end, Roger Marino and Howard Baldwin were just bad businessmen who acted like teenagers who forgot that they actually have to pay their credit card bills.

I suppose Ellet is out to give DD a chance to steal his spot. If successful does Eller go to AHL? Unless there's another reason Eller is benches that I'm unaware of.

That was the Burke Manoeuver. Probably as effective as the Dieppe Raid.

The Wiz is actually third in scoring on the team with 26 pts. Gionta is 4th.

Seems rather odd to say 'bad management' when it was actual 'bankruptcy court restricting expenses thanks to our previous owner taking money from the state and skipping town, leaving the team in bankruptcy court', but hey if it helps you sleep at night...

We've missed the playoffs four times since 1990, that's two less times than you guys in that same timeframe.

Johnson tweaked his groin on December 22, he should be fine by now.

Anyway...here's to a good, clean, hard fought game.

Seems odd everyone in Montreal wants to follow the Pittsburgh model. Yup, lets place last 4 straight years. Seeing so many Pens fans cheering here in Montreal is hilarious. They don't seem to recall any Pens history before Crosby.

Pens fans: ''hahah, how can you cheer for the Habs, they suck.''

Frustrating, yet hilarious.

Last years playoff win was so gratifying, seeing all those morons shut up and also seeing Crosby whine at the post game show like he was entitled to beat the Habs and move on.

Do I hate Pittsburgh? No. Do I think they are one lucky franchise in recent years? Yes. Do I think most of their fans are obnoxious and bandwagoners? Yes.

Seeing so many Pens fans on the main board bashing and making fun of other teams is fresh. Rewind to 2006 and see if any of those were actually hockey fans.

Our three best defencemen (at this point in their career) are out... At least it's a perfect set-up for Weber and Subban to play a lot and learn the ropes.

Heard recently the Pens lead the league in taking penalties. I started thinking they were a seriously dirty team in the playoffs last year. Apparently it's now an established fact.

Go Habs!

'La confrontation devant le filet entre Carey Price et Marc-André Fleury n'aura pas lieu. Le calendrier chargé des Penguins fait en sorte que l'entraîneur Dan Bylsma a donné congé ce soir au gardien québécois. C'est Brent Johnson qui amorcera la rencontre. '

Brent Johnson starting the game.
