I'm assuming Shelley is a scratch -- especially in the postseason roster -- and that Nodl is sent back to the A... Personally I'd think a contract would have to be moved and Zherdev seems to be the best fit to me.
With that I still see that as a dangerous roster with Nodl replacing Z... And of course Carcillo could be moved instead if Z can peek out of Lavvy's dog house.
I agree with the Walker, Carcillo and a 3rd for Langs. They need a d-man, and Walker is probably very eager to play and he is a big tough guy, someone they might need. Carcillo does help with speed and they have no real aggetator. But since Carcillo is gone, it gives Wellwood to really step up and play.
We really should not be banking on getting Langs for Walker, Carcillo and a third lol. If you are in lou's shoes, do you touch that deal with a 10 foot pole?
He would fit in well and would work well with Richards IMO.
Exactly why I'd love to see him in a Philly uniform. Langebrunner is the type of veteran you want on a team that wants to gear up for a run at the cup. He's already won it twice, so he definitely knows what it takes.
Unfortunately I really don't think Homer is willing to give up whatever Lamoriello wants for him though since it was reported that He only offered a pair of draft picks and was turned down. I don't blame him since it probably wasn't in his first intentions to mess up a team with winning chemistry half-way through the season.
However, If Homer gets the deal done and somehow manages to send Walker the other way I will praise him for it.
If you think about it though, if the deal were to go through (assuming equivalent salary is going the other way) , this could open a significant amount of cap space in the offseason since I extremely doubt he would be resigned.

If I was in Lous shoes, I would also know what other teams are offering. So no, I can't say whether or not I would touch it.
OK, I know Langenbrunner has been the Devils whipping boy this year but I always thought somewhat highly of him. Why are they so desperate to be rid of him?

Check out the Devils board. He's been rumoured to have locker room type issues for a season or two now and, IIRC, he feuded with Lemaire or some other coach.
Okay? Kirk Maltby has four of them and Bill Guerin has two as well.
But they are not in play now... And Guerin wasn't a fit when given a chance.
If you are saying that the rings mean nothing... I say they might with a player with gas still in his tank... JL is only 35 and would be a good fit in a supporting role on a stacked team needing an oomph.
RT @DNFlyers: Devils broadcast apparently says announcement on Langenbrunner is coming after the game.
It does make sense that if it were to Philly Lou would want them to hold him out of the game... So announcing after the game would be right... When we traded Foppa they announced during the game I believe.
