Pens will get at least one point tonight. 1-1 going to OT vs Habs. Montreal had a golden opportunity and blew it. Around 4 straight minutes on the PP, about 2 full minutes 5v3 and couldn't get one past Johnson.

Did you sneak in the number of ties to make it symmetric?

It's weird, some newspapers utilize four digits for records (separation of SO losses and OT losses) while some combine the last two into OT losses. I guess it depends on the wire service used. In this case, it is W-L-OT losses and SO losses.

Ahh, brainfart of my own. But yeah, I usually only use a 3-digit code since that is what factors into the points total.

In Gene Hart's book, he tells a story that when Rick MacLeish did a post-game interview, he had to take care of an itch and did so live on TV. MacLeish thought it was a radio only interview and apparently the Mrs. called him and mentioned what he did.

Flyers win, pull even with Pittsburgh for division lead. Penguins lose, take sole possession of Atlantic. Hooray for OT points.

Can't believe the Pens let Crosby play a game with a concussion....

Not everyone knows they have a concussion when they have it.

2 games in hand, though. And maybe Lou will have traded someone else before the next game against the Flyers.

I thought it wasn't confirmed whether he got the concussion in TB or in the Winter Classic though?

I saw on TV that the Penguins said that him missing tonight had nothing to do with the winter classic play with Steckel

Yeah, I heard the Pens were saying that it was from the Hedman hit in Tampa Bay.

Mez a freaking +26. Closest to him is Letang with a +23, then it's Leino with a +21.
Briere with 20g, 7th in the league, tied with Kesler. On pace for 40, his career high is 32.

Just random stats while I take a break from paperwork I'm supposed to be doing at work.

Btw, since Pronger went down Meszaros has been a + player in every game save the 0-5 against Florida (-2).
He's been a - player in 4 games this season. Pretty ridiculous.
