Maybe

To CHI: Penner, Cogliano and Chorney

To EDM: Bolland, Skille and Leddy
Worst proposal ever.

I don't know, you would have 9 million bucks tied up in two centers and still no true #1 in sight. It's a poor allocation of money.

Ok, how bout we do nothing, and just ride the wave of suck to another top pick? What is the use of trying to fix a team in mid season that is going nowhere?

I certainly wouldnt be trading a package that was accepted for Dany Heatley for a scrub and a couple of propects.

I'd be fine with that. Horc is overpaid but 9 million for him and Bollard wouldn't be the end of the world for me.

I fully agree with standing pat.

But that package is worse than the Heatley one. Smid >> Chorney and we all know how much Cogliano's value has dropped since.

I think Penner for Bolland and a small salary dump should be enough. Penner is as mercurial as they come, but Bolland's making just $900K less for two more years and he's even more of a question mark (albeit younger) year-to-year at this point.

Could Bolland be an irritating, heart-and-soul center capable of playing a #1B role? Sure, but we'd be taking the risk to find out. Meanwhile, the Hawks would be adding another consistent 20-goal guy to their already solid forward group.

Skille would be great on this team. He's a guy who will likely be what they have always hoped JFJ would be in my view. Maybe not as much of a fighter, but a gritty player who has the ability to play and contibute once in a while.

Bolland is a good player, I wonder if we might be better to target Kopecky in the offseason as he's an UFA so far. I can't see him signing before he tests the FA waters, but I suppose you never know.

Fraser for Skille?

Cogs and a 3rd?

Ok, first of all I am not in favor of trading Penner for Bolland.

Second, you always are on the lookout to improve your team whether you are last or first makes no difference. A bad GM would sit back and do nothing.

Not what we need.
Bolland had a playoffrun, like Pisani for us. He is nothing special, and is more a 3rd/4th line guy with a monster contract. Skille was struggling to make the NHL. I would understand if the Hawks are not uninterested to trade them if they get a good offer for them. But we shouldn't be once again one of that dumb trading partners.

That's true. But people will always go in that trap.
The Blackwahks are probably looking if there is an idiot trading partner for them.

He was a key role player in the Hawks wins in the Playoffs last year. Especially against the Sharks who had a powerful mix of centers to oppose with. I can't imagine the bidding price would be low.

This teams needs more skille, that's why.

I'm pretty sure that joke has been made somewhere above.

I'd like to point out that, while the actual sentence is still a bit awkward, you have used the correct word "uninterested", and not "disinterested", which everyone seems to be wanting to use these days.

Don't get me started on "looser" and "I could care less" now...

Finally, I will say it yet once again - Penner is our Byfuglien, who the Hawks will regret trading come playoff time. We absolutely have to keep both Penner and Hemsky.

Not interested in Bolland at that price. Skille is interesting, but Ryan Jones seems like a similar player. If I was Tambo, I would press for Sharp.

On Re-entry, without a doubt, imo.
