Rough but enjoyable game for me as I live in NYC and the Rags are my #2 team. Hoping this goes to OT and Stars pick up the win, as they need the points in the WCF more than the Rangers do.

Also hope Avery is a nonfactor, he's been invisible the past 15 games for the Rangers, last thing we need is him stirring up more trouble.

Rangers play great on the road, they lead the league in Road wins. Also very good defensively. I expect a low scoring affair.

It's pretty much what everyone here already knew, outside of Avery being a more class individual than one of his detractors once they've left the organization.

Yeah, that's a pretty strange way of taking responsibility, Sean. He says it was 100% his fault, then immediately blames 2 other people while suggesting the entire experiment was star-crossed from the start and that nothing could've salvaged his time here... effectively exonerating himself.

Whatever. Avery's a jerk, Modano's a jerk, Turco's a jerk. I'm glad they're all gone.

For whatever reason Dallas has completely dominated the East this season, outside of the Toronto game...where the entire season changed imo, especially at home. Have a feeling it's going to be the same against the Rangers.

"I was hung out to dry a lot by a couple of guys on that team," Avery said. "They are two individuals who aren't playing there anymore.

Wonder who those players were. Modano for sure, Turco probably.

Its true they're in a slump atm on the road, but they still play a very good road game. Very defensive and shut down. The side effect is they don't score very often on the road either, if we can put 3 past Henke we'll win this game. I can't remember the last time I watched a Rangers game where they scored in the first period.

Plus Avery might be fired up, let's hope he stays invisible.

I thought it was a good read and surprised to see him take ownership of some of it. I think at this point it is clear to everyone that Mo was an issue in the lockerroom and as controversial as it was Joe letting Mo go was a very good thing, it is just a whole different culture this year. This also explains why we haven't seen Sean bag on the Stars organization.

I think if we lived in a bigger market with more media presence we'd have heard more about Mo's influence on the locker room than only the whispers we ended up getting through the past 2 years. I do remember last year Ralph and Razor repeatedly saying how quiet the group of guys in the locker room was though; no one was speaking up or taking charge. It's been alluded to this year that things are much different, that guys such as Daley and even Loui are starting to speak up more. I think the subtraction of two key veterans can really be the only explanation.

Kari starting apparently.

This is starting to get into overkill territory again.

Raycroft in Minnesota then?

Wouldn't be against Raycroft in Minnesota then again at home vs Edmonton.

Maybe Craw thinks Kari will know the Rangers better from his time in Atlanta, and Razor will know Minny better from his time in the NW. Or maybe there's no rhyme or reason to his goalie schedule.

Yeah, we've been trying to track him down but he's just so hard to find!

I'm sure one day our sneaky GDT mastermind will reveal himself and take credit for his work.
