I don't want to see z or nodl go anywhere

You people crack me up. Including walker in any trade show how clueless most of you really are. Why on earth would the devils want walker? They need a guy who can move the puck. Yeah syvret is that guy lol. The fact that he hasnít been moved yet is nto good from a flyers pov. That means shooter wont be able to contain himself and will overpay no doubt, if he really wants him. I am sure they want an ufa in carcillo to seal the deal as well.

That being said, now that we know what type of player shooter is looking for, who is out there that they can acquire?

I don't think they want or anyone wants walker, I just dont want to send away someone useful for someone I dont feel we need

The report is that it's a 3rd and 5th.

That being said, I could easily see Bartulis going. Syvret getting called up would make a lot of sense if they were contemplating Bartulis going.

Report smort. Didnt they say that deal was turned down though? Shooter is anxious. If he is the guy he wants then he will do something dumb, it is his nature. Then again the devils seem to have several of bart like players in their pool so they may not be interested. Not like he is anything special or will likely grow into anything special. As I said the longer it goes the more shooter will likely give up.

Devils won't trade captain to Flyers

Well this isn't very encouraging. He points out that Lamouriello has never made a single trade with the flyers...

Eh... for much of the last 20 years they've been in direct competition with each other. Not exactly viable trade partners... a lot changes when you're a basement dweller.

No kidding, lou willt ake the best deal that is available to him. Not like him and shooter are enemies or the like. The hold up is they are trying to expand the deal to include broduer. The flyers dont want to part with Wellwood or gustafson though. Yes that is sarcasm

If Lou took a conditional 3rd from Dallas instead of the 3rd and 5th from us then he must have been just flat out unwilling to deal him here. Not seeing how that's a better deal for the Devils

Well he also has a NTC so maybe he didn't want to come here

I'm kind of relieved he didn't come to Philly after all, even though I like him quite a bit. I was just worried his coming over would stir it up in regards to cap space and such.

Gone to Big D for a Conditional 3rd rounder - Homer **** the bed on this one... That's if Lou was going to ship him here.

It would have been a decent addition but I was pretty neutral either way.

And hovercraft makes a good point about the NTC. He played in Dallas before so he may have prefered to go there

Seriously what are you talking about. The rumour was that we had given a better deal. Should homer have thrown in the first too just to make sure?

it is a 3rd that can become something better if whatever conditions are met. Rather take the 3rd with the hope it becomes higher than a 3rd or 5th. I can see why they tooko that deal instead of what the flyers alledegedly offered.

Shooter now feels slighted and will go out and make a deal just to scratch his itch.
Totoo and the bulin wall to joint he old city crew.

Actually Dallas' offer is probably better. If they re-sign him or win the first round of the playoffs it becomes a 2nd. I'm glad Holmgren didn't offer any more than what he did.

If I was a GM I'd take the 2 picks as oppose to one.

Spongolium - Dallas' deal IS better.

I will tell you guys one thing. Even though I still feel we are a better team right now, I am REALLY happy he didn't go to the Pens. They just need some better wingers and he would have filled some/most of that void for them. This is quite a relief for me.
