Christensen 3-for-3
Zuccarello 2-for-2

The whole rest: 0-for-14

So we basically have only two players that can score, but they score always. And thanks to Lundqvist that's good enough to be 3-1 in the shootout. Funnily enough the only time we scored twice in the shootout resulted in a loss.

No. Shootout goals don't count as goals or points.

We are 3-1 in SO's while only scoring 5 goals, and 2 of those came in the one loss...

That's MZA's 2nd goal? 2nd game winning goal? Badass!

Yeah, I agree. Most everyone was gushing about MDZ last year and labeled him as untouchable in trades.

Confidence seems to be a fine line in the NHL, especially for young players. MDZ has a lot of skill and could be a real good NHL player. Patience is needed.

Well probably never find out but I am very curious to find out what Boyle was getting chewed out for on the bench. I mean Torts was really giving it to him. But...It looked like he got back in the play after the didn't convert on the scoring chance. Really want to know what happened there. At one point I thought he said something like he stopped skating but I didn't think that was the case. Anyone know?

I thought Richards comments were very telling. Seems like he is already out of there but it's just a matter of does it happen via trade or UFA signing? Someone mentioned Neal on the block. That wouldnt make no sense to me. They just re-upped him didn't they? He is what 22 years old? Playing very solid hockey this year. Why add a 35 yr old with a similar cap hit and trade off a kid who is proven and knows your system?

Huge props again to the Hobbit. Can't not like this kid.

Er, yeah In NY he'd play with Gaborik and someone like Dubinsky. Not too shabby...I'm sure he could continue putting up points!

Not advocating getting him...I think the price would be too high and the money doesn't work very well, but don't act like he'd come to the Rangers and not have any talent to play with

I'm sure this was discussed already last night or this morning, but I just woke up lol.

Staal played over 33 minutes last night! Holy crap!

Should be interesting how much/well he plays tonight.

EDIT: And Girardi played over 31 minutes! wow!

Girardi was overpaid by Sather, and we should trade him for not taking a third man in on a fight Gaborik instigated .

lol It's insane how many minutes they both played. Including OT, they basically were on the ice for half the game.

Hope tonight the offense gets out to a fast start and buries a few quick to get a decent lead so they don't have to play so many minutes. They probably slept well last night haha.

Yeah I'd love to find out what the hell Boyle did exactly to piss off torts so much. MSG showed his entire shift with the camera focused just on Boyle and I didn't see anything that warranted that kind of lashing. I mean should he have gotten a stick on that Artie pass? Maybe, but Torts was going after Boyle like he was Larry Brooks lol. Kinda upset none of the reporters asked about it during the post game.

Need a beat writer in there with some balls! Nobody wants to say anthing to him.

The other thing I was thinking is maybe there was some sort of set play Torts was looking for and they didn't ececute it?

Yeah maybe, that's one thing I didn't think about that would make some sense. Still, that line did get a pretty golden scoring chance, and didn't have any glaring lapses defensively..curious to say the least.

I didn't see anything wrong with his shift other than he might've been out there too long for Torts' tastes. Maybe it was something prior to that.

If you're talking about after the game on the bench, or may be it was late game - it really seemed like just some 1 on 1 coaching on what to do on the previous play followed by some solid pats on the shoulder for encouragement.

Boyle seemed to acknowledge and get the message, I don't think it was anything at all negative or anger.

the only possible explanation i could see was that boyle starting gliding when he got close to the net, and was not able to reach artem's pass. again, i have no idea what was said, but that would be my guess.

And how the **** was that a penalty on Prust?

Alright, we're well over 1000. I'd start a PGT, but we're already on the next GDT. I guess take it over there.
