That's fair enough. It was late and I was tired and annoyed. No harm meant really.

Ethan Werek is going to be a 20g/20a 3rd line center (Jordan Staal) at the NHL level.

Providing shut down two way play, winning faceoffs, and a physical straight forward game. Underrated skating. Quick hands. Very intelligent player.

Werek has a chance to make the NHL roster at some point next season.

Thank you. That's not how these things work - keep making it a separate post like you did here.

Would you stand behind your choice if Grachev breaks out at some point this season or next?

Grachev has definitely fallen off due to some disappointing stints in the AHL, and I agree completely about Thomas doing more with less, but I can't pencil him in higher than Grachev yet without feeling guilty of being fascinated by the numbers. Had he made the Canadian WJC, and made some waves there, I would be more willing to consider him over Grachev. Not to mention, Thomas is a very underwhelming 5'9" while Grachev is 6'4".
Eh. I don't think it's necessarily that. I believe that Grachev is considered a top prospect because of his size and his one OHL season. Thomas is on pace to shatter that OHL season, and to me I'm less worried about his size because of his bloodlines. If Thomas can get stockier I don't think his size will have much of a detriment to his game.

My problem with Grachev is that he seems to be streaky in the AHL. He was bad for most of the beginning of the season, picked it up for a bit, then stopped, and now it seems he's starting again.

And yes, I would change my mind if Grachev suddenly breaks out, because that shows he's been able to start putting it together and a 6'4 power forward can be dangerous. Plus, it'd be in the AHL instead of juniors. However, Grachev HASN'T broken out yet, and it's been nearly 2 years.

Thomas, Hagelin, and Werek all great choices.

I'll give Grachev the vote here because I think he has a chance to become a bottom 6 guy. But those 3 are right up on my list.

Is Weise still considered a prospect? Not a single add vote recently, seems hes dropping heavily. I'll vote to add him I guess.

He's next in for me. I'll take him over Thomas right now.
