Here's hoping the Trashers and Canes end in regulation. Sick of all the 3 pt games.

Thing with the Crosby hit is it wasn't a hit. Pretty much every neutral party is saying it was coincidental, an accident. I don't think Steckle was even looking at him, not to say Steckle didn't see him but Crosby was hardly a target. Looked like Steckle tried to avoid contact to move up ice, Crosby kept moving into traffic because he wasn't looking where he was going. Sure the league should look into blindside hits, just like they have been all season and even punishing guys for hits that weren't blindside. The fact that they didn't suspend Steckle when it is known that the league protects its stars and Crosby being its biggest and most favorite just shows you that they are seeing what everyone outside of Pittsburgh saw too.

Maybe someone should look into Pittsburgh not properly diagnosing the head injury, putting him in another game and potentially worsening the injury.

The Crosby thing is more of a result of being drilled by Hedman.

Carolina won.

They are the only team out of the playoffs putting pressure on the top 8.

Devils losing again.

Could this be one of the worst teams of the post-lockout era? They are on pace for only 19 wins lol

One of the worst, but I don't think the worst.

83/84 Devs had 17 wins. Chico was their goalie. They beat only two teams with winning records that year(Minnesota & NYR). They lost 11 of 13 to begin the season and lost 11 of 13 to end the season. You guys have no idea how horrible that Devs team was.

I medical opinion is he was concussed by Steckle but I see that the talk concerns Hedman.

Yeah, I replied, I think they're not THE worst, but maybe the worst, time will tell. You're only talking about a handful of teams in 5 years - St Lou, Tampa, Pitt, LA, Colorado, NYI - and look, they are all trending upwards. Well, not all, the Isles are an Island unto themselves.

Then I just wanted to give perspective on how bad a really bad team can be

They're 10 points BEHIND the ISLANDERS with only 41 games played for worst in the NHL.

All signs certainly point to them finishing last in the NHL.

I just hope that a Western Conference team wins the draft lottery and jumps the Devils and Islanders.

I was actually going to ask this. Say Devils get #1 pick which is looking likely now it'll be interesting to see if they trade down 3-4 spots (and pick up an extra pick) and choose to go with Murphy. How far away is he from NHL?

I dunno. He scored against the Flyers the other day too, his first in 20 games or something like that.

And the Devs have a lead. What the ****? LETS GO DEVILS!

Oh my God Chico is horrendous. Complaining that the ref didn't stop the play because Tampa's net was off it's moorings while Tampa had possession on the opposite end of the ice. Whistle blew as soon as NJ had possession.

All the guy ever does is complain and make excuses.
