All I can say is WOW, I mean I figured we could get a 2nd and maybe a prospect for Rozy, but Wolski... WOW.

That adds some goals right away, but we will defintely make a deal for another defenseman. I just hope Sather doesn't take garbage like Commodore, I think we see a deal for Tyutin to come back to NY now.

My mind is still blown from this trade

Well, there goes the last of the infamous Czech Rangers of a few years back. Granted Prospal is still "on the team" and is Czech, but he wasn't part of that group.

Love this deal Wolski is very skilled and only 24 years old. He will add some more offensive creativity to this team.

One more piece of garbage for Sather to get rid of is Drury. He is the last of the soft underacheiving overpaid rangers!

He was our longest tenured skater. Now it's just Henrik from the first post-lockout year.

it is...but this team just has so many high quality young defenseman that you gotta have faith that we can fill in around them.

you have to figure that Staal, Girardi, and Sauer are locks for the future...that leaves only 3 spots to fill out of McDonagh, MDZ, Gilroy (if hes still here), Valentenko, McIlrath, Kundratek, etc.

We're overflowing with young defenesman, but we are kinda short on high end offensive talent. Wolski is a risk, i mean hes having a pretty mediocre season right now, but the kid has talent....i love this move.

This has the potential to be a solid trade if Wolski recovers and finds a system. The obligatory NYR-PHX trade has been made.

Who is ODC gonna ***** about now?

If this is true im really going to miss Rozy, i thought he was a very good player here 90% of the time but like other Euros got a bad rap. What is it about Rangers and Phx lol. Anyway i think Wolski from the exterior looks like a very good player, looks like he fits the system well, plays similar to Dubi, Cally etc. Although you have to wander why two teams have moved him in the last year or so. Did Phx want Rpzi that bad or were there other factors. However worst comes to worst we lose a good D man in Rozy for a potential problem player in Wolski. Im sure with Torts behind the bench he will give effort if that was his problem. Still love our D core, Stall, Girardi, Sauer, Valetanko, MDZ, Mcd and Mclirith. Those are all very good D man imo so losing Rozi will not hurt as much as it would have 2-3 years ago, where is was are best D man. Not totally on board with Eminger and Gilroy on the roster at once.

Wolski came up as a center to Colorado. Don't know what is up with him this season, but he was good in PHX last year and in COL the year before.

Sounds like Nik Zherdev 2.0.

Wow, so ... lineup against Montreal? You'd have to think he'll play tomorrow.

Maybe I'm missing something... You sure you guys aren't just falling into the optimistic young guy is going to do so much more?

Rozy was a good player for us who wanted to be here. There is something to be said for that.

Wolski hasn't done much of anything this year and I'm one of those people who think that just about any player can put up decent points when given enough minutes.

And am I wrong in assuming that Wolski doesn't have a physical game to speak of as well? Does he do the little things? Because at this point being in the NHL for a good number of years, he isn't going to get a ton better at that aspect.

Any thoughts on how Wolski will work with what you guys have? Thinking about picking him for fantasy hockey...

He's an enigma who disappears way too often, as was the time when he was with the Avs, but he was too often put on the third/fourth line in Phoenix compared to the top line minutes he'd get with Colorado.

He ripped it up for Phoenix coming over in his trade...

Yep.

Rozsival became tradeable because 2 years at 5M per isn't horrendous. I can see teams taking a chance on it. Doesn't hurt that it's Don Maloney.

Drury ("Captain Quaalude") is still here.

As Trxjw said, it's a good deal for both sides. I like it.
