Unbelievable!!!! Weber has a future and higher ceiling than Picard, but need ice time to develop. Guess Martin doesn't believe it.

Forget the higher future he messes up less than Picard already. Weber makes some mistakes during the game but I also saw him break up plays. Picard can't handle the puck and gives it up in his zone costing goals Weber can pass the puck out of the zone.

Eller was sick with the flu that's why he was not in the lineup.

Now that Eller is healthy again, we can send DD back to Hamilton. <duck>

I think Eller will play with Plek. Other lines stay the same.

there have been a couple of guys on twitter say that he may have broken his wrist, I don't remember seeing him show any signs of pain. I think he is sick, but it does seem weird to miss 4 days with a flu. Anybody hear anything?

There is no way in hell that Picard deserves to be playing over Weber after the freaking egg that guy laid out on Saturday night.

Unbelievable.

Maybe it started with the flu but then JM decided to keep him off the line-up for a couple of more games.

This sucks because Cammy is a Rangers (lunqvist) killer.

Blasphemy.

His name is Cammalleri not Subban. Martin never bench a veteran for poor performance, it's against Don Cherry's code.

Not to make light of or fun of Cammy's current sickness, but just saw on TSN him listed as a "inner body injury" lol. I have seen upper and lower, but never inner!

Patches is good where he is, Gomez's game came back when he arrived.

In addition, he coughed up the puck that led directly to the 1st goal on Saturday. Clear it up the middle right? right.... wouldn't be the first time.

That was one of the plays I'll never forget, and you know what? He does on a near nightly basis, sometimes it costs us sometimes Price or his D-partner bail him out. Regardless, it happens far too often with Picard.

I am fine with Picard being a Hab, as a 7TH defenseman. Weber is a little like Subban in that there is not much more he can learn at the AHL level, he's dominated the league and he is going to have to learn the game at the highest level and progress here. He's proven so far in my opinion he can be a reliable 6th defenseman, and if he can ever find his offensive game at this level he'll be even more so reliable and efficient. He's not going to learn or progress much from the pressbox, but the crime isn't that we have a young player in the pressbox (that's bound to happen over an 82 game season) the crime is that Martin continues to utilise an older Defenseman who's already hit his ceiling (or very close to it) and it's below where Weber already is at!

Other then another injury, there is no reason Picard should be in the line up.. That's just what I think.

Damn, bad timing on that sickness. Cammy always makes Lundqvist look incompetent.

I was talking about Eller, not Cammy. Now I'm confused which player Sevil was talking about...

Old timers put a lot of emphasis on bowel movements.

I can just imagine your old man doing a play by play based on his assumptions about their bowel movements. "It's a sluggish Picard who seems to need more fibre in his diet ..passes into the skates of Desharnais who must've pooped up a storm this morning because he's really flying out there ....over to Darche a regular foot-longer morning man."

if you use twitter, go to search and type in cammalleri wrist, there are a few rumors floating around that he broke his wrist.

I don't see it, I saw no signs of it during the game and i think and hope it is only a bad virus.

I also put much blame on Picard for Subbans troubles that led to him being scratched for 3 in a row etc. a couple weeks back.

Picard has gotten worse as the season has progresed. I liked his game in his first 10 games as a hab. But since then....meh

He gets the vet card and stays in.

I don't mind when a forward misses a few games here and there, We have depth there.

Actually, the only vital player on the team is Pleks and Price. Subban is close to this list.

We have had the ability to plug in an effective player or had one in the pressbox at least(JM) when injuries have hit.

Of course Markov was the guy that can't be replaced but without Picard in the lineup, I like our D.
