Ill throw out a unrealistic proposal for weber.

Cody Hodgson + Cory Schneider + bieksa + 2nd for weber.

top prospect, top goalie prospect, + good d-man (he is a UFA tho this year) + 2nd round pick for shea weber.

flame away

TBH, i think that's overpayment on the canucks part and they dont need a goalie prospect. They have plenty of depth there (Pickard, Lindback).

I'd say Shroeder, Ballard + 1st. And they'd said F OFF

I think we'd be better going with something like:

Shroeder, Shirokov, Raymond, Bieksa, 1st, 2nd

It may be overpayment, but that's what it'd take to get Weber or Suter.

This Bieksa is playing "lights out" is a bunch of crap. It's those who thought he was nothing more than pond scum the first month of the season (I was not amongst this group) have lowered their expectations of him SO much, that him playing up to his contract is now him playing "lights out". Don't get me wrong, this is the best he's played in probably a year but it's not like he's doing anything like what Edler or LOLhoff are.

Bieksa is a UFA switch him with Ballard signed for 4 more yrs
Switch Shroeder with Rome and drop the 1st round pick
Raymond, Ballard, Shirokov and Rome + a 2nd if needed. If Weber would ever be traded (not very likely) that would get it done.

Bieksa is a top four defenceman and has been all year. He is not going to be traded.

Salo is a thirty six year old guy with about a hundred injuries on his chart. He hasn't played in eight months and has suffered a serious leg injury. Why do people think he will even make this team?

Schnieder is under contract this season and next. He is an RFA the year after that. So, in three years when his contract is up he'll be twenty seven and Luongo will be thirty four. What does that suggest to you?

Bieksa will re-sign. I doubt Ehrhoff does. Weber might do a Hamhuis and sign in Vancouver. All good.

Weber is RFA not UFA

Gillis is going to re-sign Erhoff, he saw how important he is to our PP while he was gone

Gillis & everyone else say that Salo is our best Dman

I gotta think Ballard is more likely to be moved than Bieksa, to me if they package him with Mason Raymond a Cody Hodgson or Corey Schneider and a first we can probably get a good return at the forward position?

Raymond, Hodgson/Schneider, Ballard and a 1st for Parise?

If we packaged Ballard and Raymond, we could afford anybody but only as a rental. Obviously we'd have to add depending on the quality of the forward coming back tho.

Although, I say if it ain't broke, don't fix it. Plus, I can't think of any available forwards that would be a clear upgrade over Raymond and that we could retain past this season.
