umm , you may wanna add a few more +++++
Chicago does not need a goalie.
Toronto does not need to trade 1 bad contract for another.

According to The Fourth Period, the Chicago Blackhawks are looking to make a major deal before the Feb. 28 trade deadline, and the charge is general manager Stan Bowman could be "quietly shopping" defenseman Brent Seabrook. TFP states that sources suggest 15 other NHL teams - "at the very least" - have some degree of interest in the blueliner.

Sure, there should be plenty of interest in Seabrook - he's one of the better, all-around blueliners in the league. But that doesn't mean the Blackhawks would be willing to part with him. By all accounts, the 25-year-old, and his chemistry with Duncan Keith, is considered an integral part of the organization - moving forward.

A major deal by the Blackhawks before the deadline is possible. But it won't involve Seabrook.

Eh not much.

I'd imagine the Hawks would like to move Campbell but can't see them moving Seabrooke.

i would have loved him on the island, and still do but the need may not be there as much with the progress of hamonic and macdonald. i still feel they need that number two to streit now, but it may be costly.

so, what is the cost?

oh, and better yet, why?

I know this isn't a proposals for Seabrook thread, but if he really is being "quietly shopped" - which I highly doubt - would there be a trade to be made between Chicago and SJ? I was thinking something along the lines of:

To SJ: Seabrook and Dowell

To Chicago: Pavelski and Braun or Demers

may need some tweaking here and there, but Seabrook and Pavelski as the big pieces

Atlanta says "You have Seabrook, we have Bogosian...let's even it all up and make it fair for both sides and move ahead."

Seabrook and Skille + 4th for Bogosian, Sopel, and Eager.

Seabrook would be excellent with Oduya. Bogosian is a royal mess in Atlanta, Sopel wants to go home to his family in Chicago, Eager is in the doghouse.

Also, Bogosian's idol is Chelios, fwiw.

I found this rumour (seabrook) on this site too, here is the link:
http://www.thefourthperiod.com/rumors.html

I don't think this one of the recognized sites but I still look at as it usually just collects rumours from other media outlets, plus its free, I am sure many people access it, but I thought I would pass it on to you. It is very similiar to spectors. I wish I read this earlier so i could have saved people from paying, sorry guys.

Zach Bogosian has struggled alot in NHL what is the appeal? You yourself point out why Bogosian and Eager are not desirable

Seabrook >>> Bogosian + Sopel (#5 UFA dman)
Skille > Idiot

No deal

--- And his idol is Chelios,,,,,,, You must not have seen Chelios's night of honor this year

#### Chelios

Of course Seabrook is better than Bogosian right now. But what are you going to do in terms of salary? Coach Q could whip Zach up to his potential.

Yeah, I know about Chelios, and I don't like him...but if the kid looked up to him (and he was thrilled when Chelios had a cup of coffee in Atlanta last year and played well at that stretch) then maybe Zach is energized wearing the red black & white and playing in that division.

Tweak the trade and players, fine...but don't scoff at a Seabrook-Bogosian based trade.

Hawks dont have any major cap issues this summer

We can afford to resign Seabrook

How hilarious would Doug Wilson offer sheeting him be? Can the Hawks afford to match?

Terrible analysis. Demers is already playing top-4 minutes in his second year in the league, and Bruan had 9 points in 15 games played. Both are already #5's at worst.

Pavelski is an under performer? That's a new one. Nice Troll though.
