Brunnstrom is a Marlie pick-up. Doubt he plays for the leafs this year, as another poster mentioned there are a bunch of injuries on the Marlies this gives them an extra body for a player who would never even make the NHL.

You forgot.....
- Stefanovich comes to NA next season, lights up AHL for first 20 games, finishes season on Dallas' 2nd line scoring 20 goals. Becomes a star winger. Another prospect the Leafs gave away for nothing.

You forgot, somewhere in the middle there, Leaf fans include Brunnstrom in countless proposals for [insert star player].

You having absolutely no idea what you're talking about... I hope you don't apply your knowledge to many other prospects you don't know a lick about.

Stef has looked anything but good. Maybe as good as Joel Champagne.

Super disappointed in this trade. Only because the topic title only showed up as "Mik" and I was expecting a much funnier trade.

"Leafs fans make Brunnstrom the throw in every trade proposal to even out the trade"

This should be the third last point imo

I honestly don't even know what you're beginning to try and argue; that NHL players get paid? You don't honestly believe that having Goose and Brunnstrom on an NHL roster for $2M combined is something to be critical of, do you?

It's not something i would be cheering for if that is what you are asking. Dallas has their oops and that SOB is costing us $4 million a season up until 12/13.

What? From being scratched by the Marlies, questioning his coach, to now doing nothing in the KHL?

The HHOF sucks. I wouldn't go even If I had free tickets and I don't live all that far from it.

This is a great trade by Burke. Stefanovich will never play in the NHL. Brunnstrom, who has struggled the last couple of seasons, is still young (25) and has potential to be a decent NHLer. He's also great friends with Gustavsson.

I like this trade

But I guess management saw enough of him that they realized he didn't fit into future plans, and this year he even passed through waivers unclaimed so I guess the rest of the league thought the same. Makes me wonder why didn't Burke get him then.

Either way, Brunnstrom didn't do much in the AHL either, .5 ppg I think. Definitely needed a change of scenery, and I'm sure he's happy to go to the other place that was atop his list when he first came over here.

Don't know anything about Stefanovich, we'll see what he does in the minors I guess. Dallas is low on RW's (Langenbrunner, Barch, recently-waived Burish, and that's about it), so maybe he'll get a call-up or two.

Fair deal for now.
He was loaned to KHL for the year so you won't see him on the NHL roster. He couldn't even crack Marlies roster. He is inconsistent and it doesn't seem like he has the work ethic and desire to play in the NHL. He was drafted 2nd overall by some KHL team so it is possible he just stays there.

Dallas saves cash, Marlies get a healthy body they need and that's pretty much it. Best case scenario: Brunnstrom regains his rookie form and becomes a fringe 2nd/3rd liner.
