So much hate going on over on the main board tonight. In the words of the great Jumbo, "they're all jelly."

I almost never go to the main board but for some reason I did tonight. Never again, the stupidity makes my head hurt.

Pretty much. I made it through two topics before I had to leave.

I try my best but sometimes it's just too hard not to go there.

A lot of hate on the main board, I don't understand why mods need to close every thread even when their not getting crazy, just some people trying to complain and some good old rangers fans setting them straight.

I visit the Rangers board and that's about it. Everything else is an extreme headache. Hell, even being here is an extreme headache. Imagine what it's like being with fans of other teams.

Didn't we get accused of playing the trap against the Devils, too?

Crazy. I guarantee you if any of our chances went in and the game was 4/5-0 people would still be saying we "trapped."

I really don't understand it. There was that sequence with about 3 or 4 mins left in the 3rd where the teams were trading chances and the Rangers had 2 men deep as in behind the goal line deep chasing the puck carrier. I guess that's trapping though.

They're saying we play the trap. Every time a team gets a beat in a close game, they're fans come on here and say the winning team "trapped".

People don't even use the term right anymore. Anytime a team plays a somewhat defense oriented system, they're accused of "trapping". It's pathetic.

When you win 1-0 against the best team in the league, excuses will come flying out.

Not usually a fan of Torts running his mouth, but tonight, he was spot-on. Good for him for saying what he did.

Too bad the game was 1-0. If we had gone up a couple goals, I would have liked to see Prust or Boyler or Avery take a run at Burrows, even things up.

I also love how Avery became the focus of the Burrows thread. 2nd thread in 3 days about a dirty play against the Rangers where Avery becomes the focal point of the thread.

That's what we need boogaard for. It's his job to take the match penalty to injure somebody.

We are not trapping. Even late in the game we still had two forecheckers in the offensive zone. I think with 4 minutes left in the third both Gaborik and I think it was Stepan had a shift where they were both forechecking aggressively. I donít understand how people think that is a trap. We just played really well defensively and didn't make stupid decisions to close out the game.

Brandon Dubinsky now has 38 points on the season.

I think he'll hit more than 60 this year.

Watching the interview with him tonight with the helmet off put a face to a name. I like the guy, and I think he likes being a Ranger.

His projection (doesn't mean much), has been 60 or over all year long. I'd hope he hits that.

Torts also positively called out McDonagh on his "swagger in a big game" kudos, McD.

Oh yeah. Some of the posters on there have IQ lower than Debbies win total this season.

On another note, what was MZA's total ice time? Didn't notice him out there much.
