You guys...we need the Leafs to finish around 10th to avoid any lottery picks for Boston. Sometimes it's good for them to win.

Subban hate is so AMAZING. Guess ranger fans can see the other side of the argument about Avery now...except Subban actually has talent...

I'd hate a guy too if he was nasty physical and dominated the PP against my team.

They got a point. Let em win some against some east teams in the playoff hunt.

No killer instinct.
Seriously that was ugly. They were just blindly making passes along the board. And even when they were winning D-zone faceoffs they were not taking control of the puck.

Lundqvist gave his team a chance to get some points out of this game.. Great display of goaltending from him in the 2nd..

As good as the Habs played in the 1st and 2nd periods they were equally as bad in the 3rd.. They should all thank Price for bailing their lame a$$es out in the 3rd to get the win.. Ugly 3rd but 2 much needed points tonight..

That "sit back" explanation is too easy. But it's not totally accurate.

Habs were in control with Rangers having no momentum whatsoever. Then, a small defensive screw up resulting in a half-fluke goal happened. That made the entire team nervous and bad passes and worse plays started to pile up, not mentionning that the Rangers got a little boost from that goal.

This is where the goalie needs to step up and shut the door and that Price did.

Pretty good game, but man ive rarely seen a team panic so much when they are up in the third. Its an adventure just to get the puck out of the zone.

Ugly ugly third period. However the first 40 was a great effort. JM really needs to give his head a shake. Every time they get a two goal lead they sit back and it comes back to haunt them. When will he learn?

Price was spectacular as was Subban. I thought Cammy and Akosts had solid games. I liked seeing the fire from AK and for everyones sake, hopefully it continues. With renewed passion, hopefully JM rewards him by moving him back up.

Only downsides, likely Spacek and reffing. Dont know which one was worse.

Thankfully I don't feel all bad since we did put up a completely dominant 2nd period as well, and The Incredible Henrik stoop on his head to keep it close, but that last period reeked of playing-not-to-lose. It's enough. This just has to stop.

All we need is the Leafs as high as possible this season in order to not give away a lottery pick to the Bruins. (I'll give them 9th in the East at best, though anything down to 13th is possible) Or else the Bruins will be stacked beyond belief for the next 3 seasons.

Habs win.

Sabres lose. Bruins lose. Rangers lose.

More like Lundqvist bailed the Rangers out of a blowout.

That was a great game by the Habs.

Agreed.

Yes, the Habs had a bad third, but part of it might have been them being a bit gassed from going all-out in the first two periods, and completely dominating those two periods.

Good that Price played great in the 3rd to preserve the win.

Very solid all-around game by Subban.

Wiz continues to do wonders for our PP (and playing OK even-strength too - he led all Habs blueliners in TOI this game).

Good games by Pleks and AKost. Nice to see AKost end the scoring slump.

Now, let's hope Cammy can end his own scoring drought with a big game against one of his former teams coming up soon...

Thanks.. I'd say you guys have a pretty damn good goalie yourselves.. Lundqvist was lights out in the 2nd and gave the Rangers a chance in this game..

Without Lundqvist bailing out the Rangers in the 2nd this game could have been 6 or 7 -1 easily before the 2nd ended.. The Rangers sure gave us a scare in the 3rd though.. Very entertaining game..

WEBER has to be replaced in the lineup, he can't clear the front of the net. He's way way way too weak. Do we not have any other options?

After we scored the 3rd goal I said to myself, we'll win 3-2 with a mad scramble at the end and hang on. This team doesn't have what it takes to put a team away.
