Player of the game, for the third game straight, Henrik "blocker to your dome" Lundqvist.

The Good: The third period, Brian Boyle, and Zuccarello's goal.

The Bad: The penalty kill tonight, and everyone not named in "The Good."

The Redden: The Power Play, the first two periods, Dubinsky's self-control, my emotions, losing to Montreal, and the bounces.

My thoughts on the game:

Player of the Game: Lundqvist

The Good
Avery - great puck control down low
The Engine Line (Feds-Boyle-Prust) - good forechecking, high intensity
Stepan & Zuccarello
3rd period

The Bad
Sauer
Drury
1st & 2nd periods

The Redden
Sorry Dubi, this one's for you. You took three penalties, two of which were dumb, and ended up ultimately costing us the game.

Is this the first time a goalie has went Boogaard on a skater this season?

Since everyone seems to have gotten the initial frustration out of their systems - any thoughts on the new PGT? It took a long time to put together.

Amen boss man, don't need that kind of thing in here.

Lundy was awesome, the Boyle was fun to watch as well. Despite all the doom and gloom (and some crazy overreactions) it wasn't THAT bad. They played a woeful 10 minutes which ended up costing them the game and even with that they almost managed to tie it back up. Hopefully it once again reinforces to the team that no matter how they're playing or who they're playing, they have to play smart, intenser hockey for the full game. File this one away as learning experience for some of the newer guys and come out with some snarl tomorrow

LET'S GO RANGERS

Tortorella didn't want to discuss a shouting match with fans behind bench in 2nd period. Security intervened. "Ask about the game", he said

AGrossRecord

Torts on Lundqvist going after Pacioretty: "I loved it." Why? "C'mon, do I have to go into why? I loved his emotion."

Torts calls Montreal media "f-in clowns" after being asked about altercation behind Rangers bench.

Did they catch the shouting match with fans on TV?

I don't care about the fancy stuff(although it does look nice), I really like the concept of "Good, Bad, Redden". It makes for even more great conversations that there already are, and the Rangers board has their own "thing" now too.

Awesome man. i really appreciate all those stats.

Tell me though, does this mean you have a tally system going for wraparounds during the game... I love it!

if it's not too much trouble, please keep doing this. I really like looking at all the numbers. kinda like getting back at all those math teachers in high school!

The Rangers defense seems to have a ton of trouble with the speed game. They fell apart when we played Colorado as well.

It looks great man, the one thing I would change, is the the previous players of the game is illegible due to the font color, and size.

Edit: Nevermind, the new one is fine.

On the HNIC feed they showed Torts looking back a few times to the crowd, but he didn't say anything in the few shots they showed of him. It was just him giving the crowd looks.

It definitely shifted the momentum in the Habs favor. Their PP tonight looked incredible and we really didn't have an answer for it other than Henrik having to stand on his head. Dubinsky has done a nice job this year showing self control and not making the bad decisions he made tonight. He reverted to old Dubi in the first period. Let his emotions get the best of him.

The thing that worries me is that Dubinsky has a bad two periods of hockey and our entire team looks lost. I understand Dubinsky is important to our team but that shouldn't happen.

Dubinsky is playing like our new all-star and I wish he could've redeemed himself by potting 1 (or 2 to win it in regulation ) here.

I haven't been this pissed about a loss since the SO loss last year against the Flyers that took them to the playoffs. I also saw that Jokinen scored the GWG in the SO for the Flames. ARGH.

Good - Lundqvist

Bad - Everyone except Hank and the third line

Redden - Dubinsky. You can't take penalties like that.

PS- Love the setup of the PGT. Great job!

Definition of Gabby's lack of confidence - On the last play, instead of getting a low hard shot on net with 3 players in front, he goes around the net and passes to none other than Brian Boyle for a somewhat bad angle shot.

No offense to Boyle, he's shown great scoring ability this season, but Gabby is our best sniper. He needs to start acting like it.

If he's struggling to score but getting shots on net, that's a different story. But he's constantly choosing to pass over shoot and it's becoming very frustrating to watch.

That's a good point. It's pretty pathetic how fast we fall apart sometimes. But we have also had a hard time in MTL over past seasons.

Gaborik as well deserves a mention. He needs to bear down, step up and score some damn goals.

I would not call out playing an opponent 1/3 of the game snake bitten, especially when you did score 2 goals by those jam plays.
