They were an old post-hardcore type band. I saw them when Thursday was touring for War All the Time. The music sucked IMO, but their front man was a pretty bad ass showman, got me kind of amped up for Thursday.

Also, the Cut Copy/YeaSayer thing was me, back when I was still the Mush. Nice list .

I love that Eddie Petty cover.

Anybody else heard of the Zeusaphone? It's music produced by Tesla Coils. How does it work, you ask? I have no freaking idea.

Yeah, it really is a great album. Definitely makes you appreciate George more as a songwriter.

Aging hipsters That'll be a sight. 40 year olds in v-necks, neon hoodies and girl pants.

I've been listening to pretty much everything from my last record haul.

Beatles - Yesterday and Today, Meet the Beatles
Miles Davis - Kind of Blue
Zep - Coda
Bill Evans - Waltz for Debby
Neil Young - Harvest, After the Gold Rush

No problem. Let's face it, the future is here. We have the ability to instantly access nearly any info, watch a huge chunk of movies instantly, communicate instantly with anyone, we have a space station, the Navy has nearly perfected the laser as a defensive weapon and now we play music with lightning. All that's missing is the flying car.

Well, it's not just the making up for me, but also that I don't particularly like most modern metal.

Those 3 songs you posted sounded alright, certainly some talented musicians behind it, but just not my cup of tea I guess.

There's so many different types of metal around these days, you're probably bound to find something you like eventually. Nothing wrong with enjoying some classics though.

one of the filthiest songs ever recorded masquerading as a wholesome 90's song.

Holllllllly crap. Just received incredible news. Gene Ween is going to be playing my Uncle's music venue, World Cafe Live, on April 23rd. This not only means free tickets/food/drinks to see one of my favorite musicians ever (in a venue seating just 500-700 people), but I'll almost assuredly get the chance to meet him as well. I'm bouncing off the walls right now. Haven't been this fired up in a long time

Yeah, it's his brainchild. Founded and owns it. He's also building the second WCL thats opening at the Queen Theatre in Wilmington, DE (Opens April 1st). Here's a small article about the new one he's opening up. He took me on a tour of it while I was home over Christmas, the place is going to be incredible. Article

These are construction photos he sent me back in September. They've obviously made a ton of progress since, but it's pretty cool to see the place while it's getting gutted. Queen Photos

Best album of the year? Could very well turn out to be The King is Dead.
