Thrashers are trying to make the playoffs. This does little to help them do that. I also doubt they'd be willing to cut bait on a 20 year old defenseman with 1st pairing potential for a 3rd liner, a decent prospects and late round pick. IMO, you're gonna get flamed for this one.

Bogosian has been struggling a lot and Atlanta fans have talked about how poor he's been playing. They have said they wouldn't mind trading him.

Maybe it wasn't a good proposal but I'm due for a bad one here and there

Bogosion is a stud prospect I don't see Atlanta touching this. Cizikas is of no use, neither is a 3rd, for a team thats looking for a playoff spot. Comeau has value with 13 goals and like 20 assists through 42 games but inconsistency and just the fact Bogosion is a premier prospect make this is a very unlikely scenario. If the Thrashers move Bogo it would have to be for a more established premier player.

As much as Bogosian has been struggling, this is still a bad proposal.

Any offer for Bogosian would have to include Bailey, the guy we had to settle for when we couldn't get Bogo in the draft.

A potential top pairing defenseman for a 50 point (complimentary) winger and a guy whose potential is basically as a 3rd line checker is a pretty bad proposal.

I am guessing if Atlanta lost faith in Bogosian, we more likely would see a deal like

NYI 1st in 2011 for Bogosian and ATL first in 2011

Totally agree..Defensemen take longer to develop,so no reason to panic and trade a possible franchise talent like Bogosian.

He just needs a bit more time to develop.

Now Bailey for him ...might work

What you think Thrash fans?

Blake is just hitting his stride. A potential 2nd line power forward is more important to the Isles. We'd be selling him low at this point so I'd rather keep him and sign an experienced blueliner via UFA.

Comeau has been very productive as of late, I wouldn't move him. Isle's fans are underrating his value big time. I think the Thrashers would ask for move for Bogosian.

Comeau is, right now, on a 50 point pace. You see him getting no better?

Mark Streit Vs Bogosian - Carl Kjlingberg - ATL 1st rounder

Even if Streit is Islanders' only good established defencement, this gives them an opportunity to obtain a top guy on the blue line to build around.

I'm not sure is Streit can play again this year, but he still is signed a couple more years at a fairly cheep price.

Bogo, with 2 yrs of develpment under his belt, is exactly the type of high end, young nhler I think Snow would be looking to add. However,I can't see the Thrashers interested in this package.

It would be kind of a shock, if the Thrashers gave up on Bogo at such a young age.

this has to be one of the worst trade ideas I have seen in awhile

Thrashers get screwed

Bog is one of the best young D-men in the league.

Comeau numbers are soft and if you go beyond g and a's--things get worse.

Last few games I saw had him playing with Josh Bailey a blue chip prospect and when you play with good players--good things happen

If the NYI want Zach B--you start with Bailey or one of your other top prospect

Pull down your pants, get the lotion ready because ATL would be getting ****** over.

Terrible trade proposal.

Atlanta gets hosed. Why would they trade a potential #1 D-Man

No, it isn't. A potential #1, physical all around defenseman, is far more important to the Isles than a potential 2nd line power forward.

I would love to see Atlanta panic and trade Bogo like they did when they traded Coburn (different GM, I know) but it's not going to happen. And in the fantasy world where it did happen, they'd be looking for more for help now so I doubt Cizikas or a 3rd would hold much value.

granted i'm not one of the thrashers fans that thinks bogosian is some god-awful bust, but still, this is just bad.

Streit's not just the backbone of the isles defense. He's a mentor for their young defensemen.
It makes more sense for Snow to keep Streit and use the team's 2011 1st rounder on a defenseman.

As ridiculous as it sounds, last time they were in a similar situation they dealt Coburn for Zhitnik. It's hard to say why would they do this, when they've already done it before.
