got pwned ever since that scrum. lavy held them back a little too much. once the rags figured the flyers weren't gonna do anything they just pushed the flyers around. anyways, a win is a win. i love looking at the standings.

Anyway, young lady, for you...

Thank you sir!

I don't imagine Lavi is overly pleased with how they ended the game, but considering they're at the end of a long road trip, take the 2 points and head home.

Front page photo: Richards, Carter, Hartnell. Two out of three scored. Just sayin'.

Wonder what the Rangers said to their team to get them going. Probably threatened a Pepsi machine.

Really want someone to bury Avery next game. This guy's been running around on us too long, I think its time someone put him through the boards, legal or not

Carchidi just made a good point on twitter: Flyers are 7-3 in the last 10, with 9 of those games on the road.

That was much too close for what should have been a stroll in the park after the way the first period went. They looked really gassed in the end.

Boucher saved us despite giving up that first goal (and over comitting on the second one, though he's not exactly the only one on fault at that one). Timonen's really stepped up in Prongers absence. Meszaros and Coburn had pretty good games as well (Coburn was really good the first two periods, but was a bit disoriented in the third).

JvR really deserves to get some points rolling in with the way he's been playing lately. Hartnell had a pretty strong showing as well despite not registering any points. He was covering for both Leino and Brière on more than one occasion tonight.

Good to get two points in New York though, and not allowing the Rangers to get a consolation point.

As for the Rangers, Derek Stepan looks like the real deal for them. Also, I was sceptical when they traded Roszival (not that he's the greatest defender in the world, but I think that defense is the one area they really need to strengthen), but that Sauer fellow looked like a veteran tonight.

They have (at least to date) avoided the extended losses, which is a real improvement over last year. But, man, I'd like to see an overwhelming 60-minute effort a bit more often.

I think going after Avery makes Avery a better player. It is when you don't pay much attention to him that he isn't too effective. With that being said I hope Hartnell takes him out again next game like he has done before

12-3-1 in the last 16 on the road since mid-November.

They showed him asking the refs why there was no penalty, then I saw him in the post game scrum smiling and congratulating teammates. Whew.

There were a LOT of careless plays.

Leino carried up ice while his line changes, then instead of just dumping it in, he gets picked, and they go the other way fast.

Take the two points. Zherdev is going to get pop-machined for the 2nd goal, but really, it was all about Boucher letting in a horrible goal to give them life.

Professional hockey team looking for a goaltender who can stop shots from the right defensive corner.

Anyone may apply.

My stolen internet connection crapped out during the third and I missed most of it but saw enough to have a few heart attacks. Holy smokes that was close! So we were all really worried about how they'd do without Pronger but it turned out just fine.

I think your right, but its mostly because everyone fails at going after him. I just want someone to hit him, hard. If he gets pounded on that would be OK too.

Leighton and Boucher certainly seem to have that weakness... Bob remains to be seen.

That goal was brutal but I do think overall Boucher played well. Kind of a typical Boucher start, to be honest. Look very good for 98% of the game and let in a devastating softie.

I'd prefer someone from another team (or his own) to beat him to a pulp instead of a Flyer. They can deal with the suspension, we can't afford it.

JVR has had one of the most snakebit seasons I can ever remember seeing, I mean, he could easily have 10-15 more points, but he's playing well and that's what counts I guess.

I am really confused why the Rangers (or any team) wants Avery. I mean, when push comes to shove, he has to be disliked in his own room. Guys like Ruutu, Neil, etc. may be pests, but they have a job and they do it.

Avery is a relatively gutless puke, I'd personally hate to play with someone like that because it's just embarrassing. Look at the way Prust handled his business with Powe (who he could have destroyed), you really think a guy like Prust who follows the code is a big fan of Avery?
