You went 6-6 with Gaborik gone, and 4 of those wins came against the Devils and Leafs.

I watch every Ranger game that doesn't interfere with Devil games. There's no need to trade one of your best players because he's slumping. Have patience.

Why am I defending him? Trade him to the Devils. We'll gladly take him.

Where have you gone, Marian Gaborik?
Rangers turn their scoring woes to you.
Woo woo woo.
What's that you say, Marian Gaborik,
Goal scoring has left and gone away.
Hey hey hey.
Hey hey hey.

Wow, this is a person who gets it. No, indeed it does not make any sense.

Perhaps they should have focused first on acquiring/developing a playmaker, but then that would be competent roster building.

I said before a month and a half he's not playing great, he's actually not playing great the whole year, he has 2 hat tricks that makes him look like has some goals(11), we Dubinsky(17), Boyle(15) and Stepan(12) that has more goals then him, but he's just killing us right now, I'm mad, I know were not going to trade him I just created this thread to see what it would take.

I know he will eventually brake out of his slump, but I just hope its next game. We really need him back to his old self (that not meaning him being injured all the time lol), the Rangers scored 16 goals in 10 games I think.

He's getting quality chances, he'll score eventually, even when he's not scoring he's doing things to help others score.

People are overreacting about Ovechkin too, guess what, the team as a whole can't score, because they decided to play defense this year. Ovechkin is still on Crosby's level as far as I am concerned and still can put up more goals than him.

Gaborik is coming back to the Wild. And then immediately pulling his groin and sitting around 39 games.

You remind me of the guys on the Devils board that want to trade Kovy and Parise because the sky is falling. Sure, these players have had their hard times, but there's no need to get rid of them because of it. Just because Gaborik hasn't scored recently doesn't make him the problem. Maybe you just need to change who he's lined with.

Don't forget what Gaborik did for you last season.

Thought you watched every Rangers game that didn't interfere with Devils games? Gaborik has played with EVERY player on the roster. That's not hyperbole, that's a fact. The guy has 7 of his 11 goals in 3 games against Edmonton and NYI. 4 goals in the other 29 games he's played in and Tortorella basically benched him tonight and played him 11 minutes total. If he was just gripping the stick too tight and not finding the twine, he wouldn't be getting benched. The guy isn't performing.

I think it's a combination of him still being hurt and not playing up to his full level.

He needs to wake up, and wake up soon. This team can't keep winning games without him getting on the scoresheet.

Let's see:
Gaborik 11 G 13 A..............Ryder 13 G 13 A
Boyle 15 G 8 A...................Krejci 7 G 21 A
McDonagh 0 G 0 A..............Seidenberg 3 G 17 A
DelZotto 2 G 7 A................See Seidenberg
Note: DelZotto has been sent down due to poor play

Gaborik signed thru 13/14 season.............Ryder UFA after this season
Boyle RFA after this season.....................Krejci signed thru 12/13
McDonagh signed thru 12/13....................Seidenberg signed thru 13/14
DelZotto signed thru 11/12......................See Seidenberg
McIlrath Not signed

I'm sure most trades have a "starting point". That is what this is. I'd be willing to add a little, nothing from our starters, to this proposal. Remember, I didn't start this thread but was asked what I, as in "me", would do to get Gaborik the often injured RW.

face it with gaborik's contract of 7.5 cap hit for 3 more years after this year plus his fragility.........notwith standing his low production this year.... idont think he goes anywhere....

and if he does go I think you have to think less of the return and what NYR would have to sweeten to the pot for a team to take him.

Think of Campbell in CHi a good player but not worth the contract you have to pay him(capwise)...or the capspace he takes away from a teams overall strength

With all his injuries he is a 5 mil player......when healthy he is a 6.8+ mil player

Note: Gaborik is Gaborik.>>>>>>Ryder
Krejci is a decent player but not worth gabby, Boyle has been named as part of the "core" so i dnt think he will be moved.
The next part of the trade is laughable.
McDonagh, Delzotto, and McIlrath are our top 3 defenseman prospects. They are worth far more than seidenberg and its not even close. Awful original proposal. For this deal to even be CONSIDERED, Lucic/Bergeron/Caron would need to be involved, + this deal would never happen either way. Gaborik is not going anywhere, especially in an offer like this..

he's in a slump is all folks. no need for trading him this isn't NHL11. plus, even if he were to get traded (which he wont) it will be for some top end talent, just because he isn't scoring right now doesn't mean he's not one of the top players in the game. same thing with Kovy, he hasn't done well this season but hes still an offensive force. you can tell when someone has lost it ::cough:: Jokinen ::cough:: and when someone is just in a funk.

ok, Gaborik for Gomez.
Both make the same money, both have 22-24 points so far, both last names start with the letter G, both are underachieving, so there it is, lets change 4 quarters for a BUCK.
