We sorely need Callahan back. And Gaborik needs about a week off. Sounds like the All-Star break is a godsend.

I was glad to see gaborik play with some desire after the benching. Maybe this will kick start him. This team needs their REAL leader back. #24

The 2nd goal was off Fedotenko's skate and barely made it inside the post. Biron has absolutely no help at times during the first period, this game could have easily been 5-2 or 6-2 flyers.
on the 3rd goal don't know why the defenseman (Eminger i think?) just cut off the pass and left the shooter for Biron, he went to the ice way way too early.
I can agree that the help was abyssmal - but he was still too far in the net imo. The results kinda prove this

Zucc is amazing. Steps is the future #1 center to be better than Savard. Wolski played well but kinda waiting for him to start playing like Frolov soon. Duby shoulda gotten a star of the game for jumping on Shelly. The REAL star is Torts for not jumping out on the ice and ***** slapping Drury and/or the refs. i remember a Tampa Bay game a few years back where Torts got pissed at the bench and slapped one of his players in the head. i think it was Richards or Prospal

I am by no means a Biron loyalist... if you want to tell me a perfect deflection that changes direction less than 4-5 feet in front of him with a screen is a savable shot then let's just agree to disagree.

The 2nd goal was an unintentional deflection of Fedotenko's skate that he had no chance on whatsoever, Hank couldn't have gotten that one on his best day. No one could have stopped that one.

Prust has 16 points. Boyle has 4 goals in like the past 24 games or something and obviously he doesn't notch many assists.

IMO Staal looked sluggish tonight.

He had 2-3 chances to put a good shot on net in prime scoring areas and hesitated on all of them and didnt even get a shot on goal.

about Drury, I feel bad for the guy who gives it his all every shift and just doesn't have the talent anymore to pot goals.

On a positive note, this team has HEART and PASSION that I haven't seen from a Rangers team in a very very long time.

The Good: Zuccarello-Stepan-Wolski (cut and paste)

The Bad: the team's procrastination problem. "I'll play good later" which I hope goes bye-bye really soon.

The Redden: Whichever player missed the net the most. Getting tired of it.

I can't recall seeing two games like this back to back from the team in...ever. Zero point weekends, sure. Seen those. But this late charge to the buzzer stuff makes me both proud of the never give up attitude and pissed at the earlier play that resembles....giving up. Or maybe not showing up is a better decription.

This pattern can't last. Make it so, Rangers.

Edit: forgot to add the PP in there in the bad stuff, but I figure that's a given anyways

I played goalie through Junior A in the highest league in Sweden. If you cut off the shooters angle by postioning - you can save basically save any initial distance shot. Since these pucks both went in - they were not stoppable in the position the goalie de facto was in. But with correct angling - almost every initial shot or tip-in deflection is stoppable... But we will never know the outcome of a different position so it is a bit academic. I think they could´ve been stopped. You do not. Whatever. We agree to diasagree... No big deal...Cheers...

Ah, I didn't see that. Makes sense so people can't game the voting system.
