Please.
Drury does not deserve Fedotenkos spot. Put Feds where Drury is an make Drury the extra forward.

Thank you.

Wraparounds had it right the first time with Christensen in and Drury out...

Who would have ever thought that 2 years ago?

Unfortunately Torts won't do that, and that leaves Feds as my odd man out.

I hate to pick on Girardi but do any of his shots ever make it to the net? I mean is there a category for shot attempts versus shots on goal?

If you're not going to shot the puck with authority -- wrister or slapper -- than throw it down the boards.

Ok, 2 things

Just watched Torts and the Media-

1) The good news, the coach doesn't seem to think its a lack of effort on anyones part, which I agree with, so its bound to turn around soon.

2)Please win soon, Torts seems to be teetering on the verge of a blowup with the media, lol...I didn't think Specter's question was to crazy, but for some reason it felt like it was about to get ugly! Gooosfraba Torts

Hate to admit it, but Drury is really finished.
Newbury stood out more tonight than our Captain.

Torts is delusional to think that his team wasn't out worked in the first two periods. "I totally disagree." What a moron.

Really? I absolutely agree with him.

Flyers did NOTHING the ENTIRE game that impressed me once. We were lackadaisical for two periods and made some mistakes and that's about it.

Both Flyer goals in the first were deflections and nothing we could do. No effort would change the outcome of those goals. Even the third goal doesn't have to do with being outworked. We just simply shoot ourselves in the foot every now and then by not finding our "groove" until late in the game sometimes.

Staying out of the box would help a ton.

Bad penalties, warranted or not, have been the common denominator the last two games.

Stay out of the box, get the forecheck going.

I agree. I've defended him for the last year, but honestly, he's got nothing left. It's bad when Newbury outplays you for two straight games.

Look at Gaborik flying under the radar. I wonder what his secret is? He did have a few nice reverses behind the net to no one in particular.

Again, all we can hope is that drury will realize the game has passed him by and retire, maybe to take a management position or become an assistant coach. He offers nothing, and i mean nothing. I know we always need a whipping boy, but 7.05 for 4th line and PK? 0 goals... says it all

Its just so hard to believe. I mean I knew the scoring touch was gone last year, there were no signs of it coming back. But I was sure he would still be servicable.

I have to admit, his game is ugly, there are no redeeming qualities.

We are stuck with him as a 4th line winger next year because there is no othe option. Who would trade for him??? We cant put him in Hartford, and even if we could, seriously 14 million in Hartford...and buying him out?? what a waste of money

This game was a repeat of the game last night. Some untimely penalties in the 1st period. We get a little physical in the 2nd and stir it up. We play a great third period and fall a little short.

Yeah, unless he "retires" (or they buy him out), i dont see any way the Rangers will get rid of him. Nobody in their right mind (or even if they are half nuts most likely) would trade for him.

Buying him out only would cost 3.6 million and would open up 3 plus million to spend on RFA's like cally, dubi, artie, boyle, sauer and UFA's, then the following year the hit is only 1.67 million which by then the cap will most likely have gone up a full 4 million by then as it is projected to go up 2 million this year. Plus we cannot forget Redden's summer cap hit, a drury buyout is the only option.

I think for 5 million, which is his real salary, there may be a team who is no where near the cap ceiling who would take him for one season as a veteran leader who can help influence their locker room and teach their young kids. Not a sure thing but there may be a team or 2.

Oh, I'm not against the buyout, I'm just think how the f@#% does Sather go to Dolan and say, ya know how we had to move Redden to the minors and your paying 7 million a year to a minor leaguer??? Well now we have to pay Chris Drury 5.5 Million over 2 years to NOT play for us.....

If I was Dolan, i'd make Sather wash my cars....

You might be right, but unfortunately I think even in that scenario, we will be required to take back some salary, and we'd probably have to throw in a pick or prospect just to make it worthwhile to the other team....
