I'm a Habs fan. Not trolling at all and tried to remove the rose colored glasses. I'm not saying Lundqvist didn't deserve more than what he got. Just pointing out how the rule reads and IMO if it's up to the referee's discretion then I don't see the Habs getting the benefit of the doubt.

Just about anything is a discretionary call to a large extent. I just don't hink the refs know the rulebook all that well for these obscure ones.

On the other hand, Lundqvist clearly missed with his initial swipe once he wax on top of Pac, and there were too many bodies after that to see what happened. Maybe that's what saved his ass.
