Right, so Brady has been terrible in the playoffs for the past couple of years, but because he had a complete team help to carry his ass to 3 Championships he's a God?

You aren't even arguing anything, you're just putting words in a box and trying to claim you win an argument without saying anything...........are you a female?

Didn't get to see the game, but was quite surprised to see the Jets take this one, given the game at Foxboro earlier in the season. I'm a Steelers fan, and after beating Baltimore I was quite content with the season and figured New England would beat us easily.

Now I'm actually looking forward to the game next week.

Bears not only beat the Seahawks, but covered the spread too, albeit just barely. Debated a few friends that didn't think the Bears would cover, now I wish I would have bet them.

Packers-Steelers Super Bowl me thinks.

No, you're right. A QB is not a HOF'er unless he wins the Super Bowl every year.

Am I? Trust me, I don't strain myself to "declare victory" when the other side is letting their pouting override any common sense they may have.

Hell, I don't even like Tom Brady and I know he's a HOF'er.

I didn't go on espn.com or watch ESPN for a month after the Pats lost to the Giants. I think I'll be doing it again.

No kidding. I change the channel every time something about it comes on. It's gut wrenching.

Definitely in the boat of completely blocking any nationally televised sports program for at LEAST a month. Ouch.

I peeked in at about 5minutes of CSNNE's postgame, and Troy Brown looked like he was hurting as if he still possessed a roster spot.

That 4th quarter drive really ticked me off, they were in no rush. Not the Patriots we all KNEW.

Did any of you read Boston sports media the last couple weeks?
Good God, the Brady/Belichick worship was insufferable. Same as in 2008.
The TEAM does a pretty good job of dialing down the rhetoric.
But the media; for Chrissakes, you would think it was Belichick touching the finger to Brady on the ceiling of the Sistene Chapel.
After all the blather of the 300+ passes without a pick, did ANYONE think that the Jets would NOT make that playoff pick?

The media in this town was ****ing embarassing.
This team is the underdog. They can only survive if they are.

How have the last few playoffs ended for the Pats? . . . PRESSURE/HIT TOM BRADY - it works - you don't have to be a hooded genius to see that.

I'd agree with this. You can't put everyone in the same boat but there are some Red Wings fans who are no different.

And the whole "classless/stay classy" arguments about the Jets from Deion Branch and some Pats fans are a bunch of junk. Especially when I recall several Patriots players showboating after beating the Chargers in San Diego during the playoffs.

No wonder this league is referred to as the No Fun League

not gonna lie, but its actually gonna be pretty cool seeing all my co-workers walking with their heads down. Maybe I can give them the old "what happened?" like they did to me the past 2 years in May?? haha.

BB set the tone for this game when he benched Welker at the start.
Too little, too late.

The Boston media on twitter last night were full of butthurt... hilarious.

The signature play to me was Crumpler's dropped pass- this had a feel of chance to be a quick double digit lead and the Patriots left big points on the field. The Jets hung in made a huge third and long and scored to take the lead and the Patriots looked out of sorts.

Lost in all this is the Jets early fumbling and bumbling that the Patriots did not take advantage of- and the Brady pick that killed a textbook drive and that drop allowed the Jets to get their sea legs.

And the Jets WERE and ARE a talented team so this is what can happen. The knock out punch was there the Patriots missed.

I knew they were going to lose when Brady started to pout. He hasnt done it in awhile and has looked great. Just everytime I see him start to hang his head and be quiet on the bench the game hasnt turned out well. He wasnt very good and his passes didnt have the oomph and accuracy that we have seen over the last couple months. Just a bad time to have a bad game.

Pats are starting to turn into the Ottawa of football. Great regular seasons but choke in the playoffs

Nail on the head, Dan.

The Pats did not execute in those first couple of drives and were up 3-0, when it could have easily been 14-0. The Jets are not built for big comebacks (like Indy) and by not scoring early, the Pats gave them a big advantage.

I'm disappointed, but the days when a sports loss ruined my week/month are long gone. My 7 yr old still wanted to do a "sleepover" in the basement, regardless of whether or not the Pats blew a golden opportunity to get another ring. Life goes on.

The Jets played their game, and the Pats made mistakes, better team yesterday won the game.
