Exactly why Nash isnt getting traded.

Maybe, but I feel like some of the CBJ posters underrate the 2 pieces of the proposed deal (namely, Rundblad/1st and possibly Michalek if that's who it was). I feel like it's a deal that gives Ottawa the complement they need for Spezza, and gives Columbus some very strong elite assets.

Rundblad is expendable in Ottawa because of Karlsson (and possibly Weircioch, but Rundblad appears to be a significantly better prospect than Weircioch at this juncture), but he is arguably a centerpiece prospect to the deal. Potential future #1 D.

I just find it laughable that you honestly think you would get Nash without sending Karlsson back. I really think a lot of teams would easily outbid what you are offering.

Of course we're not trading Nash.

I love how the OP in the Spezza to Columbus thread says:

AND THEN FOLLOWS UP WITH ASKING ABOUT NASH FOR PICKS / PROSPECTS.

Oh the ironing...

I think you're significantly under rating the proposal.

I think you're offering a bunch of unprovens for a proven All-Star.

If they were proven, it would be a 1 for 1 deal.

If Rundblad's in the NHL, as a #1 defender, it'd be Rundblad for Nash - no "+X, Y, Z".

You rarely see "proven for proven" because it amounts to a lateral move.

The proposal I made was fair.

I think you are severely overrating the pieces required to get Nash. Give it up already, you are the only one who really thinks this is a good deal, just give it up.

If you say so. How about Moore, a 1st, Huselius for Spezza?

Superstars don't get moved for fair value. So if Nash were ever to be traded it would be for less value, but he won't be traded so this is irrelevant.
